    mama and papa gus are two of the most famous residents in green cove springs. on this site the gustafson's established their dairy with one cow in 1908. in 1925 the dairy was moved to it's present location on SR 15A. today gustafson's dairy is one of the largest in florida and distributes their dairy products all over the state.

    the day i visited the old clay county jail i witnessed a dangerous criminal escaping from the jail. these escapes are so frequent that you may have a chance to see one on a visit to green cove springs. :)
