Lulu's is a small restaurant that sits on the Intracoastal. Unlike some of the intracoastal you may have seen in the more southern parts of Florida, this is fairly undeveloped and provides a nice quiet backdrop to the standard high-traffic beach restaurants.
The Boiled Shrimp are awesome especially with a Cold Beer. Lulu's has a full bar as well for non-beer drinkers.
They also offer a wide array of seafood and desserts. Take a right on Solana Blvd. Lulu's will be on the right about two miles down. Look for the gravel parking lot as the restaurant is set back from the road.

I had the crabcakes, my partner had the pork loin, we shared the gouda quesadilla (a nice change from cheddar or jack cheese). Good stuff. Everything was really fresh and fun to eat. I wouldn't call the menu truly southwestern. Instead I would say everything has a sw flair. For example, my crabcake was nice and crabby, but instead of a mango or pineapple chutney/salsa - the standard for many Florida restaurants - my c-cake came with a limey, garlicky mayo and roasted corn salsa. Yum. Last but not least, our waiter was attentive, helpful, and professional. Mossfire is located right next to several other cool little restaurants on and around Margaret street: check out this area, it's a winner.

At Murray Bros. Caddyshack, lawnmower ceiling fans and a giant alligator with the movie's mischievious gopher trapped in its jaws are just a couple of the irreverent touches and memorabillia that highlight the decor of this casual "theme" restaurant.
The menu covers the gamut of favorite American fare (burgers, steak, chicken, etc.) The restaurant also has outdoor seating that overlooks the lake and observation tower at the center of the World Golf Hall of Fame complex.
The restaurant's owner, actor Bill Murray, is no stranger to Jacksonville area golf courses, so you never know when he might stop by. In a city with a lack of decent Chinese food establishments, P.F. Changs definitely fills the bill. Call ahead for seating as its located in St. Johns Town Center which is VERY busy. Very dependable food (if you've eaten in one - everything will taste just like that one). Nice bistro type atmosphere and good wine list. No kids menu for those of you that need that - take out available.

If you're looking for good seafood at a really great price and you want to wear jeans this is a great place. It's an old house that has been converted into a restaurant and bar. The menu is quite extensive. The only item I have not liked is the deviled crab. Everything else is excellent from the most basic fried fish to the more complex pasta dishes. The service is friendly and fast. Have a beer, hang out with your mates, and gorge on delicacies from the sea!
Fried Shrimp Platter: Excellent no-brainer. Big tasty shrimp, lightly fried, and overflowing
Seafood casserole: Decadent treat. Crabmeat, shrimp, and mushrooms broiled in butter. Ask for a side of pasta or rice 'cause this is all flesh baby! this Mom and Pop restaurant could be hidden forever and it is packed even on a weekday - the locals would like to keep it a secret... which is why I love it!!

This Thai eatery is one of the best kept secrets in town. It's scrumptious AUTHENTIC Thai cuisine is to die for. Better Pad Thai than the upscale"Lemongrass." Very casual dining...YUM!
