Hog's Breath Saloon, Key West

As you walk Duval st in the evening , music spills out of every bar, but we think this place had the best . Its popular, seems to be always busy . It has a real party atmosphere and pretty good bar food.
Not classy ( wine is served in a plastic cup), but its just the right place to relax and have fun.

the hog's breath saloon is one of the most popular bars off of duval street. this indoor/outdoor keys style bar offers live entertainment. next to sloppy joe's and capt. tony's the hog's breath is one of the most visited bars in key west.

Part restaurant, part biker bar. If you want to sit then you need to order food in the restaurant (they also have a raw bar). If you want to catch some of the live music- then you will need to stand at the outside bar (or if you are very lucky snag a bar stool). The bar is popular with both locals and tourists - one local said that the visiting patrons act much like the locals anyway. For example, we met two former MLB pitchers wearing wigs and having a great time with the band.

Be sure to try the Hog's Breath beer and the key lime shooters.

One of the main attractions of Hog Breath is the location- since it is across from Mallory Square. After watching the sunset and seeing the entertainment (be sure to check out the cat circus), it is so easy to saunter across the street for some libations.

Dress Code: Hog's Breath is known for its t-shirts that say "hog's breath is better than no breath at all".

The Hog's Breath is definitly one of the local tourist traps, but the live music is worth it.
