Another of the "come as you are" restaurants in Key West - very casual, friendly, fun. Live band was good - and took requests! We sat just inside the restaurant where the open doors brought in the beach breeze.
I enjoyed my chicken caesar wrap, and Boyd enjoyed his pizza - and we both took home 1/2 for lunch the next day. The portions were not particularly huge, but 1/2 was satisfying.
We had been walking for hours in the hot Key West summer sun and we needed a break. We stumbled into the Island Dog, not expecting much. What we found was reasonably priced food and lots of it. Their bacon burger is so big it needs two buns to hold it. The fries are very thin and crisp. The quesadilla is an appetizer but it was more than enough for a meal, with homemade salsa and herbed sour cream. A great place to stop for lunch.
Favorite Dish: Large portions fill you up, and the prices are lower than average for Key West.
