Food looked average and it was very expensive so we just had a drink. But a very, very good drink. Can't go to Key West without stopping at Margaritaville or at least that was what I was told.
Favorite Dish: The frozen strawberry daiquiri was delicious. I had daiquiris at about ten different places that week and Margaritaville topped them all.

Eating at Margaritaville was one of the main things we wanted to when we came to Key West. It was our 3rd day, late afternoon, mid august. It looks nice on the outside and the inside. However, we were disappointed with the place. Maybe our expectations were too high. I pictured a happening carefree atmosphere with caribbean music playing, outdoor seating, great food. Well, it was not that. The servcie wasn't that great and the food wasn't either.........it resembled Carl's Jr..................not bad, just not what we had in mind. We did have a good appetizer of fresh fruit and yogurt dip. It was very dark inside, music was very dim (local station), and quiet.

It was okay, one of those "gotta do it once" types. I was the only one who liked what they ordered; everyone else had a bad expierence. DJ ordered fish and chips, but the fish was more like fish nuggets and he only had five of them. So he was mostly given a big plate of fries. SuAnn ordered black bean soup, but what she got looked more like bean paste, like the dip. I ordered a cheeseburger, mine was good.
Favorite Dish: Cheeseburger in Paradise (comes with fries) $8.50

Margaritaville is a must stop if you are visiting Key West. It's fairly small and noisy and full of locals and tourists (not hard to tell them apart I might add). We stopped in on a very warm afternoon and the place was packed but the service was good and quick and the food was very good. The margaritas were EXCELLENT too. I did plenty of research and was awarded my degree from the University of Margaritaville so now I proudly display my University sticker in my vehicle's rear window.
Favorite Dish: Margaritas and Conch Fritters - I thought I died and went to heaven!

It's one of those places you've got to go if you're a parrot head. And if you aren’t, than it’s still a place you’ve got to go. Walking in you notice all the Key West and Jimmy Buffett memorabilia, street signs, and all the bright, loud colors covering the walls.
I ordered the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" which came with fries. It was made just like the song says; "Medium rare with mustard... onion slice... lettuce and tomato... Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes...” It was good and tasty.
There is also live entertainment at night and in the weekends. They say Jimmy does stop by and play when he is visiting, well not when we were around. Maybe next time…..who knows??
Next door is the gift shop if you need to say, 'Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.' You’ll find all sorts of Jimmy Buffett merchandise, like t-shirts, various choice of music, and a whole lot more.
Favorite Dish: Cheeseburger in Paradise of course!

The surroundings in the place are great, music is fun and you get the feeling Jimmy Buffett is about to come in and sing a song, but the food is bad - very simple - bad. I did spend about $100 in the gift shop - love the Buffett stuff.

Warning: Margaritaville is a Restaraunt, not a bar!
I am a pretty big Buffett fan, and was disappointed to find out that Margaritaville is a restaurant, not a bar. Ok, there is a small bar area, but it is crowded. After we looked at the pictures, talked to some strangers, I posed for this picture, which my brother took. This got us promptly ejected. Needless to say, this did not embody the spirit of a Buffett concert : (
