roof top cafe: a table with a view
the roof top cafe is a typical key west restaurant serving local seafood and american fare. what makes this place special is that you can eat and drink on their roof top patio and watch the street scene below. moderately priced.
Roof Top Cafe: A truly fine dining experience
The Roof Top Cafe is a small restaurant that has a wonderful ambience. It is located on the second floor and tables located on the deck can overlook visitors coming and going to Mallory Square during the sunset celebration. But the draw has to be the food. Our party of 6 all selected different entrees and shared, and all were impressive, and everyone left with their own favorites. The dessert menu is limited, but equally fantastic!
Favorite Dish: Within our party, we selected the grilled Tuna w/ Wasabi, the Grilled Mahi-Mahi w/ mashed potatos and mango, the grilled yellow-tail, and the Roof top salad (consisting of greens, mango, candied pecans, and Gorgonzola cheese with a balsamic vinegar dressing. While I am not a wasabi fan, the party was split equally between the three main dishes, and four people sharing salads raved over the recipe. I thought the candied pecans were worth the cost of the salad alone!

Roof Top Cafe: Another nice spot!!
This is another nice place to go and have a drink. It's on the second or third floor of a house, so you can go and sit at the bar next to the balcony... very nice view.
And after all... it's Key West, chill out and have another drink!!
The Roof Top Cafe: New owners, Great Food
Very Key West, in upscale mode. This place can be hard to find it sits around the corner from Little Switzerland at the top of Duval Street almost across from the aquarium. You will see the menu on the street and you must walk upstairs to get in. The owners are new and the food is out of this world. From breakfast to dinner it will be a dinning experience you will not forget. The food is expensive but you get what you pay for here. They do have a child’s menu and I think the only child’s menu in Key West and get this, the kids loved the food as well. Try the crab cake appetizer and the local seafood dinners. All the meals are prepared creatively and tasty. Atmosphere is great and a place you can stay all night and if you want an upscale drinking environment take a walk to the other side of the restaurant under the tree and enjoy the night. We will be back!
