Schooner Wharf: Eat and Party in the same place!

This was another place located on the water along the historic wharf. We came in to watch the basketball game (yes, we supported our team in the playoffs, even while on vacation!) and were also accompanied by a fun crowd, live music and good food. We had an amazing server, very friendly and he took good care of us (his name's Leif, ask for him!), even watched a little bit of basketball with us from time to time (it gets super busy in there!). Dinner was great, the band sounded good, the drinks were tasty, the crowd was fun, great location-----oh yeah and our basketball team, well, they lost... :(

Favorite Dish: This time around I ordered Taco Salad to take a break from my usual seafood indulgences. It was very good, a nice kick but not too spicy and it came in the taco shell rather than a bowl. The serving size was perfect for one person. My friend had conch fritters, and I tried one myself and although I don't usually eat fried food, they were quite tasty!

For authentic Key West atmosphere, great seafood and a seriously fun and entertaining place to be, come to the Schooner Wharf. Once housed on the Schooner Diamante, the Schooner Wharf Bar moved to "land" and the rest, as they say, is history. This open-air restaurant/bar was recommended to us by a relative who has spent some time in Key West, and we were not disappointed. But, thank God for the cool-water misters, otherwise we would have melted the day we were there for lunch! The Florida sun is seriously intense and the humidity can be a killer.

Choose a table inside the bar where the decor is nautical, or sit outside and have a great view of the waterside and the marina with boats coming and going. Live entertainment is scheduled every day from noon until closing! (Michael McCloud plays several afternoons a week.) A few pretty famous individuals have been known to frequent the Schooner Wharf Bar over the years.

Favorite Dish: Fresh-caught seafood, including stone crab claws, shrimp, a variety of fish, oysters, conch chowder AND fritters are enough for any seafood lover. I liked the peel-and-eat shrimp!! If you're not that keen on seafood, try a juicy burger or chicken wings. Top it all off with a Rumrunners Mango Daiquiri, or other specialty drink---come at "happy hour" for drink specials.

Schooner Wharf: Great Food & Entertainment

Affordable place right on the waterfront. Great food, and entertainment. Very friendly Staff.

Also some very friendly dogs roaming around. Makes you feel at home if you're missing your own pets begging for scraps !!!

Favorite Dish: Their New England Clam Chowder is the best i've ever had. Big chunks of clams from the first spoonfull to the last, and an excellent flavor. Southernmost-Northern Chowder ? I have to stop in for a bowl daily !!!
Everything else that i've had there is also Great !!!
