Square One is two parts; they have a popular restaurant and bar that serves dinner, and then a cafe that serves lunch and breakfast all day. I have yet to visit the restaurant for dinner, but the cafe is fabulous.
They have indoor and outdoor seating, and offer a menu of upscale American dishes. The staff at Square One all work together as a team and are very attentive to the needs of their patrons.
The presentation of their dishes are beautiful and their portions are quite generous.
The cafe is closed on Mondays.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish by far is the Stuffed French Toast. The bread is a four inch wide slice, deep fried, monte-cristo style; the center is carved out and stuffed with a decadent raspberry cream cheese. The plate is then decorated with raspberry sauce. Most people can only finish half, so if you have a dining companion that would like this dish as well, it's a good idea to split it. If you get one on your own, try not to be too sad if you can't finish it all. They can make you another one tomorrow!
Update: Sadly, Square One has decided to remove this item from their menu. I shall keep this description and the picture of it in hopes that if others clamor for it, they might bring it back.
Fine Dining. When I want to splash out and celebrate, this is where I go. The owner is usually there to seat you, the waitstaff is wonderful and the food never dissapoints. Reservations suggested particularly during season.
