When we first got to Key West in the 60s, Key Lime pie was something that you could rarely get outside of the Keys. Most of the time a "Key Lime" pie outside of the Keys was green because it was made with Persian limes. Key Limes have a yellow juice, so you know if you get a green pie, it's bogus - not a real Key Lime Pie.
It's now gotten to be big business and you can get Key Lime pies almost anywhere in the US.
This place first opened way after our time in 1999. I have not been to any of their stores, nor have I bought their products.
They now have two stores in the Key West area (one on Stock Island), one in Marathon, and one in Miami.
What to buy: In addition to the pie, they also have Key Lime Rum Cake, The Blond Giraffe "Pie on a Stick" (Key Lime pie dipped in chocolate), Maté, spices, scents and gifts.

I have not been here, but have heard it recommended.
What to buy: If you don't want to buy from the aggressive T-shirt vendors, I suggest going to this place and getting a custom shirt with whatever logo you like done for you

This is a marine hardware store downtown which is quite extensive and good. I thought at first it was a branch of West Marine (a chain marine hardware store), but it is Marine Hardware store in Key West.
What to buy: We had lifelines made up to order, but you should be able to buy most boat stuff here.

Unpretentious grocery store, with a large selection of fresh seafood, meat, vegetables, fruit, bakery etc. The staff is friendly and helpful.
What to pay: Normal prices for Key West.

macs sea garden is an interesting shop that sells souvenirs, sea shells. nautical gifts, and T-shirts. located at key west harbor mac sea garden is an interesting place to visit in key west.

evan & elle is a better apparel store on duval street. they have a mens and womans clothing section which features casual keys style apparel. this is a better store, no cheap souveniers here.
