    IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

In 1996, I went to Epcot twice to see the fireworks. This year, I wouldn't want to miss it either. For me, it's still the best firework I ever saw because of the great location, right in the middle of the World Showcase Lagoon with wonderful matching music. It just takes your breath away!

So don't miss this grand finale, every night. Pick up a "Times Guide" for the exact time. For the best views, choose an area around World Showcase Lagoon at least 30 minutes prior to show time.

Hop on a log and ride to Brer Rabbit's Laughin' Place. Beware of the soggy 5-story drop into the briar patch. You will definitely get wet at Splash Mountain.
Board a runaway mine train on an exciting roller coaster ride through the Old West in the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Raft across the Rivers of America to explore hills, caves a fort and trails of fun on Tom Sawyer Island.
Try your luck in the Old West Shooting Arcade.

    Main Street

After entering Magic Kingdom, you'll have to pass Main Street to go to the other 'lands'. It's a lovely broad street with shops and eateries. From here, you can take the Walt Disney World Railroad, an authentic steam train, to Frontierland and Mickey's Toontown Fair or just have a ride in a horse-drawn trolley.

Old Town stores are open 365 days a year, from 10:00am-11:00pm. The amusement rides are open from 4:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday, and 12:00 noon-11:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. (Rides usually stay open later on weekends and may vary seasonally) For the amusement rides, tickets are sold separately for each ride. Tickets are $1.00 each, or if you plan to ride a lot, you may want to purchase the VALUEPAK, which is 22 tickets for $20.00 or 35 tickets for $30.00. We also offer all day passes, which cost $15 for Florida Residents, or $25 for Non-Florida Residents (with valid ID). Ticket booths are located in Kids' Town, in the Checkers ride plaza and in the front ride plaza by the Ferris Wheel.

First I thought the guy was having his tooth taken off (ouch!!) but at the time of the ride as I passed rather quickly this presentation I couldn't really figure it out what was it about. Thanks to photo editors and big enlargements. This guy is having his face tanned artificially. See on his left the tanning machine switch, the cooling fan on the floor, he has a device in front of his mouth presenting a cigarette, a cold drink on the table... COOL isn't it?

Classic Car Cruise at Old Town...

Classic Car Cruise at Old Town every Saturday night.

Look at my travel log for a few pictures of some real gems.
Old Town is a simulated town from the old American west. Every Saturday night they close the walkways and parade the old cars through the 'streets'. It's mostly classic American muscle cars. There's something for everyone here: gameroom and rides for the kids, shopping for the moms and plenty of cars for dads to oogle over. If you're here on a Saturday night, don't miss it!

The park has the most beautiful flowers and shrubs. Many of the shrubs are in the shapes of animals or other designs. The park is know for it's rides and entertainment - but don't overlook all the flowers as you go from ride to ride. The park is also very clean.

Roller coasters times 5! The Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park,Dudly Do-right's Ripsaw Falls, and the Unicorn (for children). Or, if you prefer tamer rides, there are nice 'viewing' rides with minimal motion. For those that prefer their feet firmly planted on the ground, please refer Universal Studios (original park).

No trip to SeaWorld is complete without meeting Shamu or killer whale, the most powerful and graceful underwater wonder. Sit in the Splash Zone for an even better (and wetter) view.
