Enjoy all the resorts have to offer

by TheTravelSlut Written Feb 18, 2010

You don't have to "theme-park-it" daily...after all, the resorts have lots of laid-back, relaxing activities and plenty of places to laze the day away--like swimming pools, libraries, sitting & viewing areas, etc.

    For Jumping Norman!

Plan Your World Tour in the World Showcase

by kayleighsheehan Updated Feb 19, 2008

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Travel junkies will appreciate the small world tour (eleven countries) available via the themed pavilions at the World Showcase in Epcot. Standard reviews praise the architecture (which is always well-researched by Disney Imagineers); entertainment (the Dragon Legend Acrobats in China, the Mariachi Cobre in Mexico); shopping (glass and perfume in Italy, sweaters and pickle ornaments in Germany); and dining (teppanyaki in Japan, fish and chips in the United Kingdom).

But if that isn’t enough for you, and the experience makes you want to start planning your own global tour, the World Showcase is the perfect place to get personal tips. Cast Members here are “imported” to represent their home countries. Looking for attractions off the beaten track for a backpacking trip across Canada? Ask your waiter at Le Cellier Steakhouse; he’ll offer his own suggestions for his native Alberta, and then rope all nearby Cast Members into telling you about their hometowns and provinces.

Interested in being an ambassador for Morocco, Norway, the United States, France, or any of the other countries mentioned above? Look for available positions online.

    Disney World

Disney World, of course! Plan to spend at least a day in each park. Must-sees include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Centre, and MGM Studios. A trip to Orlando and/or the surrounding area is never complete without going to Disney World, especially if you have young children.

    Magic Kingdom touring maximization

by dunneman Written Feb 22, 2015

The most obvious solution to getting as much done as possible in your Magic Kingdom visit, especially if you only have one day to spend here, is to get here as early as possible, up to an hour before park opening, if possible.

I have found that most parkgoers start out their day in either Tomorrowland or Fantasyland, then make their way counterclockwise through the park. I would recommend starting out in Adventureland, then moving on to Frontierland and Liberty Square (Haunted House).

Try to plan what the majority of the other parkgoers are going to do, and zig when they zag, to try to go where the lines are shortest. Waiting over an hour on line for a ride, even if it is the most attractive ride, makes no sense when other rides have little to no wait. The Disney lines app for smartphones is your friend. Download it before your trip.

Fastpass+ is a useful tool to reserve ride times. You can reserve Fastpass+ for up to 3 attractions in advance, and once you have used up those three fastpasses, you can reserve additional Fastpasses at kiosks throughout the park.
