    No, the clothing of this lady is not the norm for Marathon!! She is a mannequin that stands at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the Chiki Tiki deck where the bar and tables are. My grandson was interested to discovere that he could pull on a line up at the top of the stairs and the lady would wave.

    I took this picture on one of my first bike rides, so I didn't have anyone to stand at the top of the stairs and make the lady wave.

    Not quite visible from Route 1, just up behind the trees past this sign is Rotary Park. This shady 3 acre park just off 75th Street has a 200x100 ft. playground which includes Captain Hook's ship, Thomas the Train, lookout towers, tunnels and swings. One area is reserved for toddlers and there is a climbing wall.

    There are also picnic tables under a shaded pavilion, and restrooms that are accessible.

    The park was construction by the community within two months after 9-11

    Wyland have been painting about 80 whaling walls in the Keys you can find a few of them. On this picture you see the one which has been painted on a K-mart Wall.

    This picture is made up from 4 seperate pictures, click on it to see the full image. I have made pictures of it before but this time i was lucky enought to have sort of a free view.

    The director of the Dolphin Research Center arranged to walls in the Keys to be painted on. The wall in Marathon is a showcase for the sealife that can be found around the Keys.

    Wyland wanted to display the beauty of the reef which is being destroyed by men. This Whaling Wall has been made in 1990 and is called "Sperm Whales and Florida Keys Reef" it's the 26th on in it sort by Wyland.
