Bayside Market Place, Miami
In 5 hours you got only a very superficial impression. Passing by the streets to the bayside I saw a lot of poverty I did not expect before. Interesting for Miami is that half of the town seems to be a latin town, so much spanish speaking people, impressing.
I felt at all quite insecure, prtobably also because of my very "rusty" english knowledge at that time.
Here we are: My first skyscraper!! Although probably not that high at all, but the highest I have ever seen until that day ;-))
Probably there are much higher buildings in downtown Miami, but this hotel complex looks quite amazing.
Favorite thing: We had just a look at the bayside and at the Hard Rock Cafe but we didn´t go in. We prefered to stay in one of the little bars at the bayside marketplace,. All the bars are open to the sea...they seem to have the whole year good weather.
With over 100 shops and places to feast, this place is a must do. Spend an afternoon and wander around, or try a boat tour of the harbour. There is something for everyone here. Located in Biscayne and 4th St. downtown Miami. Call 305-577-3344 for further information and directions.
Fondest memory: Walking around and shopping with my daughter.
Favorite thing: At the entrance of Bayside there is BUBBA GUMP SHRUMP CO. where some part of Forrest Gump movie was recorder.
Favorite thing: Miami is the land of freedom, and the land of summer. There is lot of to do, but in the summer is a littlebit to hot.
