In 1997, Versace was shot to death in front of his mansion in Miami, Florida. Versace's killer is allegedly a serial killer. The incident happened as the 50-year-old designer returned from the fashionable News Café where he bought breakfast and Italian newspapers.

The Versace Mansion is where Giovanni "Gianni" Versace lived whilst in Miami. He was battling a rare cancer of the inner ear.
Versace (2/12/1946 – 15/7/1997) was a famous Italian designer of clothing and theatre costumes, albeit he was charismatic and gay. He was influenced by Andy Warhol and of modern abstract art. Versace was considered one of the most talented designers last century (20th Century).
One July morning, after returning from one of his regular walks on Ocean Drive, he was gunned down by Andrew Cunanan. Soon after he killed Giovanni Versace outside of Versace's mansion in Miami, he committed suicide using the same gun he killed Versace with.
The house is locate at the South Beach area of Miami.
