Lombardi's Ristoranti: Bayside Italian
Because the Hard Rock had a wait, we came on up to this place.
They have plates with their name on them, and they also have a bar area.
Favorite Dish: I had a seafood pasta (pictured) and creme brulee. The creme brulee tasted burnt. Bob had carrot cake for dessert (also in photo). The bill with the included 15% tip was a bit over $45.00. There is also a gelatto place associated with this restaurant.
The photo has the sign from the water side facade inset in addition to my pasta and Bob's dessert.
CAFE RAGATZI: A CLASIC IN BAL HARBOUR
This place has been around for many years. It is very, very small, hence cossy. You must make a reservation, and still you will probably have to wait to be seated. But no worries, Beto or Johny will make sure you get a glass of wine... and Beto will charm the girls with his Argentinian accent.
Customers are mostly locals and regulars. It is a family run business, and we are all part of that family.
We will come for dinner at least once at week .
The food is delicious. My favorites are the Salmon Carpaccio, Parpardele a la Marinara... and the Tiramisu, which is maded by la Nona.

Lombardi's Ristorante Itialiano: Great Conga Lounge
Absolutely fantastic scenery, right on the waters of Biscayne Bay. Kinda 'uppity' if you ask me, but the people were friendly. Only stopped by for an Amstel on our way to Little Habana, but will certainly check it out on the next trip.
About the "Conga Lounge" aspect. I've been asked to elaborate on this topic. Behind Lombardi's is this really cheesy little 'thatched hut' thingy. On weekends, they have this "Ricky Ricardo" band that comes in and performs. I suppose this establishment is catering to the "Cruise Crowd" (since this is a major stepping-off point for the cruise lines). Fortunately, I missed that part. But the hut *does* look suspicious.
Hosteria Romana: delicious grilled seafood dinners
We had a wonderful dinner at the Hosteria Romana - and as the name suggests it is run by people from Rome... to "really" appreciate the atmosphere you really need to understand some italian - and if you can deal with typical roman humour, even better.
The restaurant has two locations, one on Espaniola way, and one on 1230 Ocean Drive. We chsoe the first so that we could sit outside, enjoy our dinner, and avoid havng cars driving up and down next to us.
Favorite Dish: While there are a lot of delicious things on the menu, after having a chat (and a laugh) with the waiters we chose our wine, a bottle of (overpriced but delicious) Falanghina - which ed them to recommend some mixed grilled seafood (which wasn't in the menu)...
We had lobster, king prawns, crab, grouper and a couple of other fishes I don't remember. The portions of fish was so huge that we had to skip dessert...
Bucca Di Beppo: Great Italian food in Miami Lakes
Restaurant has been around about 10 years now and it quickly took off.
Good ambiance, good quality food, similar to quality of Macaroni Grill with a more family style to it.
Favorite Dish: Antipastos: Fried Calamari / Artichoke dip are excellent
Main Course: Shrimp Scampi / Chicken Arrabiata *(sp)? / Roasted boneless pork / Fettucini Alfredo (ask for salmon on top) are all delicious!
Known for their chocolate dessert!
Cafe Prima Pasta: Argentina meets Italy
This is by far one of the best restaurants in Miami Beach. The staff is extremely attentive. The food is exquisite. And the atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed.
Favorite Dish: Their pasta dishes are innovative in taste and combination of ingredients.

Italian/American NOT SURE: So expensive but awesome food
So we are walking on Ocean Drive and looking for someplace to eat. We are tired of walking so we just choose this place. It was a little more pricey then others but the food was awesome. I have no idea what this place is called. Just remember... anything and everything on South Beach is pricey.
Favorite Dish: I had some bento box thing which was to die for! My other 2 friends had the $60 filet minon!! Which they also said was to die for!

This was by far the best restaurant in South Beach. The bartenders and staff are amazing. They sing, laugh, tell jokes...just know how to get you to relax and have a great time. The bartender was by far the best bartender that I've ever seen. His martinis were the best I've ever had. You just have to go there and see for yourself. It's also in a great location.
Hours: Monday - Sunday Lunch & Dinner from 12pm until 1am
Cuisine: Italian, Roman, Jewish
Appetizers: from $5, Entrees: from $12
Bruscetta: Bruscetta in Doral
One of the best restaurants in the city is well worth the drive into Doral if you like Italian food. Also unlike most other nice restaurants and chain franchises, you can get a table without the wait on busy nights (well, usually). Service is good, food is excellent, but the place is really loud.
Favorite Dish: everything
Rosinella's: No Atkins diet here...a taste of Italy in Miami
For a taste of Italy in South Florida, try Rosinella's restaurant located in the Lincoln Road Mall area of South Beach, Miami.
They serve authentic pizza dishes that are Italian style, thin-crust margherita (named after the country's first queen) type pizzas that you would find in Italy. They also serve a nice selection of pasta dishes.
They even have a bar where you can sample different types of Italian liqueur and the ever popular Italian beer called Peroni.
It's a quaint little place, where even some Italians gather, as you hear a lot of the patrons conversing in Italian (you know a place is good, when it is frequented by the locals). That is the ultimate seal of approval. The room is somewhat gold colored, with wooden tables and the bar on the right as you walk in. There are a few soccer logos discreetly placed on the wall by the bar (they must be Roma AS fans).
Although not a wide selection of wines, they do carry good house wines to accompany the pasta or pizza. They serve the typical Chianti, Merlot, Cabernet, etc.
The prices are very reasonable - the pizza dishes run from $9.95 and up. Pasta dishes are in the $10 - $15 range. Beer: Bud Lites were $3.25, Peroni beer - $4.25.
The unfortunate thing is that they do not have too much on the menu with regards to chicken, meat or fish. It is strictly a pasta or pizza house.
The wait staff is friendly and courteous, and even looks like they know each other well, as I noticed they were joking around with each other.
So for a taste of Italy, come on down to Rosinella's. Don't worry about your Atkins diet for this evening. The Italians don’t believe in that, anyway. You can park in the mall garage and take a little stroll down to the restaurant. There is a lot of other night life nearby, so you can easily turn it into a fun night.
Favorite Dish: I had the pizza with mushrooms which was delicious. The sauce was of good quality and the mushrooms were fresh. Typical of what I would expect in Italy.
The tiramisu was also one of the best I've ever had.
timo and kitchen 305: Great food at either end of the scale
plenty of choices, Sunny Isle is the northern part of the intracoastal , going further south and you are in south beach, Miami Beach. Your area is a lot more calm.
you are in prime time there , but for great food, I recommend timo's italian in Sunny Isle Beach.
a more type buffet will be at Kitchen 305 at the newport hotel
Enjoy Florida, my former place ::)
Favorite Dish: kitchen 305 has nice buffets around Christmas time, and Timo's is excellent with Italian dishes.
