    The Falls: Upscale shopping

The Falls is a very attractive collection of upscale shops, recently remodeled, with beautiful landscaping and waterfalls. Located just off US 1 at SW 136th street. Most of the shops are accessed from covered walkways that are open on one side. In a blowing rain you could get a little wet. There is a multiplex movie theatre and two anchor stores; Bloomingdales and Macy's.

This is a big open air mall with plank walks, waterfalls (as in the name) and landscaping. The big name stores are Bloomingdale's, Macy's plus a giant United Artists megaplex, but there are more than 100 stores altogether.

The Falls is especially noted for its specialty stores, including April Cornell, Crate & Barrel, Enzo Angiolini, Laura Ashley, bebe, BCBG, Cache, Coach, Express, Rampage and Williams-Sonoma.

In addition to hot dogs and hoagies from the food court or from Johnny Rocket's, you can eat at restaurants like P.F. Chang's, Prezzo Italian and Seasons. There are also less upscale places like T.G.I. Fridays and Los Ranchos Restaurant

What to buy: Shopping is not my thing, so I can't tell you what to buy. I've only been here to dinner at P.F. Changs.

The Falls: The most beautiful shopping-center

The Falls is very far from downtown Miami, but to the south. It's an open-air mall, not so big but filled with very good brands and department stores like Bloomingdale's, and some good restaurants too.
