Coconut Grove, Miami
Coconut Grove is mainly of interest to us because we drive through it on the way from Miamarina to our daughter's house. We ate at Hooters for the first time here, when my daughter took us to see the sights.
They have a big shopping mall called Coco Walk there, and a lot of upscale stores.
It is very hard to park in the Grove. I've been interested in seeing the Barnacle Historic Site, and I've tried to go to Dinner Key Marina a couple of times (to stay there on our boat or to eat dinner there), but without success in all cases.
the cocowalk is located in the heart of coconut grove in south miami. it houses a collection of shops, restaurants, bars and a movie theater. a good starting point to visit this interesting part of miami. coconut grove is a fun, safe and interesting part of miami to visit.
Coconut Grove is a posh area in Miami which was founded at the beginning of the 19th century by Bahamian seamen. Located on the edge of Biscayne Bay, the area (called The Grove) is full of charm, hibiscus and jacaranda trees and green areas, as well as an impressive yacht club. What I found even more impressive was the side of the cars and pick-ups used to transport those yachts in and out of the club. A sight really out of this world.
There are many interesting restaurants and a mall, the pink and beige Cocowalk Mall off Grand Avenue with several outdoor cafes.
Coconut Grove is known for its artsy flavor with Renaissance-style castles, popular festivals and endless nightlife. Miami also boasts unique attractions, such as the Miami Metrozoo, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Miami Seaquarium, Ichimura Miami-Japan Gardens and the Parrot Jungle and Gardens.
Coconut Grove - a good alternative to South Beach. Also in this Cocoa walk.
Bayside Market is nice too.
South Beach is great for expensive bars and restaurants!
The beach is great!
Ocean Drive has to be seen but unless you have money dont expect too much!
CocoWalk Mall at Coconut Grove.
Not really a must must see, but if you're in Coconut Grove you can't help but step in.
An evening out to the theater, a chance to dress up and play grown-up...Followed of course by dinner in one of the Grove's funky sidewalk cafes.
