Ocean Drive is a street in South Beach running along the Ocean – as the name suggests. It is known for its Art Deco buildgins and hotels which line the street. It’s full of restaurants and bars – mostly offering cheap “speacials” and it’s great for people-watching.

We found it very relaxing and pleasant in the morning – and buzzing with activity in the afternoon – especially on Sunday, when it was jam-packed with people “posing and showing off”… either their new clothes or their posh cars and motorbikes.

Ocean Drive is lined on one side with hotels and restaurants, while the other side opens onto a narrow park of palm trees, overlooking the beach. With only one day and night in Miami, I quickly learned that Ocean Drive was mostly restaurants, while the street behind it, Collins Avenue, was where all the best shopping took place.

    Ocean Drive in South Beach:...

Ocean Drive in South Beach: the place to go in South Beach. Usually the spotlight for the latest trends and styles. Also has tons of local cafes and night clubs! Need to sober up after a long night? A walk on the beach near by might do the trick! Just make you sure you don't walk by the water aand not into it! Drowning can be hazaredous to your health!

CocoWalk: not your traditional mall.It has only a handful of stores, including Victoria's Secret and The Gap. However, there is a bunch of smaller boutiques, such as Ocean Drive Fashion and The Black Market and The White House, both of which specialize in hip, trendy club clothes as well as upscale fashions!! Only for those who are not price conscious shoppers! The mall also has tons of spiritual places! NO!! Not Temples! BARS! Fat Tuesday's, Hooters or Tu Tu Tangos on the 2nd floor!
Shop n Party kinda mall! For those who are tragically hip!
