This was our second car rental of the trip...a bit more money but still a deal at $37. The people at Alamo are friendly and even provided some maps of the area. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

The Bus by pulgaron The Miami-Dade public transport system has a web page at: http://www.co.miami-dade.fl.us/transit/. Here you can find a bus and rail system map as well as schedule times etc. They also have a new personalized system that tells you what buses to take to reach your destination. You input where and when you want to go. They will email you your personalized bus schedule within 24 hour of request. Lots of other good info. Check it out. Good luck. Leave a Comment

The Miami International Airport fast park: http://www.airportfastpark.com/Photos.aspx is your cheapest alternative. It also provides shuttle service connecting you to all major flights and terminals. The link I've provided gives you a coupon for $7.00/day. Employees use this parking area. I was leaving Miami to go to Paris on 25th November, I was not expecting it but a First Class Boarding pass was issued, I thanked all of them at the Continental Counter, most of them have become good friends.. I was not hungry but didnt wish to by pass the chance to eat some stirfried shrimp with string beans, and a glass of wine, which was definitely californian eventhough they were serving an australian red. Miami International by HotSpotJ Miami International is a very nice airport thats actually made alot of improvements over the past few years. This airport is a rounded one (not stacked in parallell concourses like Atlanta or others) and has some new, excellent shops and restaurants- some of my favs are on Concourse "E" where there is a sushi bar, Sam Adams and a Chilis to go. Years ago I would advise against taking a long wait inbetween flights in MIA, but now I think theres enough to do and to eat you'd be just fine! My favorite wing is the American Airlines wing. what a great pleasure it is, to leave CDG and just after nine hours of a comfortable flight you are in MIAMI. today i left CDG at 11 in the monring and 9 hours later to the minute, landed in Miami and more welcoming than that was the fact that, within half of an hour of the flight landing, we had coasted to the gate, gonet hrough immigration and customs and the nout of the doors to the Rental CAr counter... The food as usual was good. I like to be loyal to an airline or a team of airlines, or rental car company.. the airline lounge in PARIS was good, nice to gulp a glass of champagene before leaving only to be continued on board.. Miami's public transportation system has one unique perk: free Metromover trains in the downtown. The trains are frequent, clean, and air conditioned train cars sure beat walking in the humid tropical weather. There are three loops in the system: one for downtown only, and two for visiting southern and northern areas surrounding the downtown. The stations are only a couple hundred meters apart, so people do not need to walk that far in the blazing heat. On the other hand, the train its time to run through the loop as stops are very frequent. As the train runs on elevated tracks, it provides good views to the downtown area and surroundings. Especially smaller children love the traintrip. Leave a Comment

If you're coming to Miami the best way to get around is to rent a car. Public transportation is bad. If you're planning to be on South Beach only, then you'll be fine taking a cab everywhere and the local bus. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home
