Whenever I am in Miami, I eat here, it is always wonderful to be able to eat drink in the heart of South Beach, a very nice place, well decorated, but a little bit inflated.
But last time maybe I was not lucky, we had to wait even with reservation more than 30 minutes. Add to the wait a small bar with only one bartender who was making drinks for the whole place(!), along with overpriced booze and food and you get just an average SoBe restaurant.
Also the door to the restaurant was wide open, letting conditioned air go right out the door. Terrace seating is first of all for people watching.
The tip was automatically added into the bill, so the staff knows there getting the 18% whether they work for it or not.
The food influenced by the "Floribbean" cooking style, however, was in fact very tasty, consistently excellent!!!!
Live music every evening makes an excellent atmosphere.
Next time the service will be probably better.

Never tried anything other than seafood here. Spicy seafood dishes and for dessert some cooling sorbets , such as ginger-pear or lemon-lime, but the homemade espresso ice cream does not provide a bad choice.
When weather permits, enjoy outdoor seating, if you like it.

  • The ambience of this place is great because they have nice outdoor seating, but more importantly if you sit inside by the little bench up against the window you get to stare at the delicious pizza at the counter. At my age I have eaten at many many different pizzerias but this place is one of my top three favorites!

Nothing comes close to as good as the blue cheese and spinach pizza!.. I know it sounds weird

A place to stop and grab a delicious sandwich or take one to go with you for later. They also deliver!

My favorite sandwich was the fresh mozzarella with lettuce, tomato, and cornichons (French pickles is how they label them)....

If you like exotic food you should try this restaraunt. But please call first because they close after lunch for a couple of hours and reopen in the evening. The decour is covered with paintings of hatian murals which are very colorful. They serve traditional hatian food and exotic juices like mango juice (a bit too thick for me but it was in fact mango).

Try the goat and rice and plantains, the hatian hot sauce with the plantains is very good

  • A big place... big! Beautiful... with an amazing paint on the wall... great bar and great food!

Their swordfish and red snapper are more that delicious! But if you're lucky enough to go there when they have curry corvina as a special... by all means, go for it! You won't get dissapointed.

  • It's a very cool place... they serve Spanish tapas, all kind of Spanish wines, sangria and nice cocktails. The atmosphere is perfect for going with a girl or friends... and chill for a while.

Sometimes they have Flamenco dancers and live bands. In the weekends, they make some room for dancing inside... I think that's after 1 or 2 in the morning.

The worst thing is the service... those waitresses have no clue about what's going on with your drinks or you food.

Their patees, cheeses and hams are great. Their "patatas bravas" are seriously spicy. The shrimps in garlic are great, too. The tortilla espanola is very nice.

This place is a great starter before an evening of fun in South Beach, with a great Greek menu and an upscale crowd, you won't be disappointed... great entertainment, and directly across Pearl and Nikki Beach for fun into the twilight hours!

Why have I not eaten here before?!
Loved this little place. It's charming, it's cozy, it's eclectic and tasty. Picture outdoor seating in cool antique furniture, a spectacular mojito menu, NOT TO MENTION a mouth watering (and diverse) menu in general. All on a charming little street tucked in between the Licoln Mall and the heart of South Beach. There is indoor seating as well, in case you're in Miami when it's scorching hot.

Service was great and friendly. They even went so far as to keep bringing us glasses of ice to add to our drinks as it was hot as hades on this particular day. I wanted to steal a couple of their Louis XV inspired arm chairs and sofas.

Enjoy the little shops in the area after your meal. I will most definitely return.

I had a traditional mojito which knocked my socks off. Read: it was STRONG. The mint was fresh. Loved it.
For lunch I had a superb salad of walnuts, goat cheese, mango vinegrette and truffle oil. Divine. And perfectly portioned.
The salad was a mere $10.50 and the presentation was outstanding. My picture of it doesn't do it justice.
The fare of my friends looked equally as delicious.

  • This great place is located just south of the Lincoln Road mall. It serves great Mexican food, even including cochinita pibil and al pastor.
