Located north of the Miami Beach area, Aventura is a large 3 level enclosed shopping mall. With over 250 stores, there is a good range of everything, along with plenty of free parking (or valet parking if you prefer). It is also on bus routes from Miami Beach and surrounding areas. We visited Aventura one afternoon and ended up shopping for around 6 hours, which is a pretty impressive effort for me. I was particularly keen to get to Aventura as there is a Macy's and Bloomingdales there, and these were two shops that I enjoyed exploring on a previous trip to New York, Although these stores were nowhere near as big here compared to NYC, they still had plenty to offer.
There were plenty of chain and boutique stores to keep both Alex and I occupied. There were numerous cafes for the required caffeine hit, such as Paul Patisserie where we stopped off. There is also a large food hall and a couple of restaurants, including Sushi Siam where we had lunch (see restaurant tip for more details).
Mix of designer and regular shops, so something for everyone Leave a Comment Theme: Department StorePhone: (305) 935-1110Directions: 19501 Biscatne Blvd. Aventura (just north of Miami Beach), Florida 33180 Refer to website for bus information Mall Hours: Monday-Saturday 10:00 am - 9:30 pm Sunday 12:00 pm - 8:00 pmWebsite: http://www.shopaventuramall.com/index.html

Bal Harbour Shops by Dutchnatasja Bal Harbour Shops has beautiful outdoor gardens, fountains, and art, surrounded by very high-end shopping, cafes, and restaurants. There are world-class designer boutiques including Hermes, Cartier, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Armani, Gucci, Versace, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, and more. Don’t look for anything as common as a kids play land or a food court. This place is way too chic for that. I, personally, like this place very much, because of the beauty of this place. If you want to spend money, well, than you are at the right place. Have fun! Lincoln Road Mall by chrissyalex "Tan while you walk and shop!" I saw this line in a pamphlet for Lincoln Road Mall and it struck me as amusing, I really don't know why! It was a true statement, I just found it funny ! Lincoln Road Mall is an attractive pedestrian mall which is a mix of stores, cafes, fountains, galleries and restaurants. Many of the stores are the same as you will see in every other shopping mall in the US ( for example Victoria's Secret, The Gap etc) , but there are some independent shops as well. I wouldn't call this a "must see" , but it is worth a stroll through. Collins Avenue. If you are looking for a concentration of designer stores such as Armani,Ralph Lauren,Versace and Benetton go the the southern part of Collins Street Sprinkled along Washington Avenue are some cool boutiques with funky clothes. I loved the dresses there. It was just window shopping for me. I really wanted to buy one, but being from a small city, probably the only place I would have the chance to wear one of these dresses would be while I was there in South Beach.
Clothing and swimwear. You will go to the beach frequently while you are here. If you want to buy some new beach wear, you will not have to look far. There are shops everywhere with a range of selections. From a functional $20 bikini to interesting nonfunctional creations worn only to be seen in. I must admit, the bikini with the silk flower top was awfully darn cute, but with the hit of one wave, it would be gone!

Bayside Marketplace by Dutchnatasja This semi-outdoor mall has many chain stores like Banana Republic, Gap, Victoria Secrets and the Disney store, many tourist t-shirt and souvenir shops, and lots of local boutiques. Bayside is in a very nice setting on the waterfront. There are many restaurants where you can eat and where you can enjoy a beautiful waterfront view of Biscayne Bay. From Italian to Cuban, seafood to steaks, it’s hard to choose. You can have a fruity tropical drink from a stand in the centre of the water-facing side of the market. Relax and enjoying, do some shopping. It’s a great way to spend your afternoon. A whole day is something to much for me. I’ve seen it all in about 2 hours. For shopping, or just a lunchtime stop, I highly recommend you try the Bayside Marketplace. Many local sightseeing cruises leave from ports nearby. Just look for the 60 foot guitar above the Hard Rock Cafe, and you know you have arrived. Books & Books by agarcia Books & Books it’s a charming little bookstore, located in Lincoln Road. They have a wonderful book selection, including fascinating works about Art Deco architecture. While browsing among the books, you could enjoy a cup of coffee in the terrace.
The staff recommendation section includes some of the funniest books I’ve ever seen. I was tempted to buy ’em all ;-) Leave a Comment

If you are interested in going mall shopping, I would suggest, depending on your budget and what you are looking for: Aventura or Dadeland: in both of these you will find department stores such as Burdines, as well as all the franchise stores like Guess, Gap, ZARA, Abercrombie, Victoria's Secret, etc... Aventura is bigger and has more variety though. Aventura is located at 19501 Biscayne Blvd and Dadeland on Kendall Dr (SW 88th St) and US1. Bal Harbour on the other hand has all the very high end boutiques like Gucci and Hermes. location: 125th Street and Collins http://www.balharbourshops.com Last but not least, Sawgrass Mills, which is further away near Fort Lauderdale, but is cheaper as it has all the outlets.... located at 12801 West Sunrise Boulevard Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Shopping in Miami usually happens in malls, such as Aventura or Dadeland. It is not like in other places like NYC or Europe where you are able to walk in the streets and wander different boutiques. The only good exception is Collins Avenue on South Beach where you can walk around and shop designer's boutiques as well as all the franchises. If you have time, you can also take the side streets off Collins and wander around Washington but the shops are more sparse. Coconut Grove also has that but in a much smaller scale.
