Beach, Miami Beach
South Beach starts at about 12th Street all the way to 1st Street. The beach is quite beautiful with its signature life guard huts. Depending on what time of year you're here you can encounter large crowds on the beach enjoying the sun and ocean. You'll probably also see some boogie boarders, surgers and other water sports.
After breakfast we decided to walk along the beach and try to find a spot for some sunning, but the sand was still wet from the prior night's thunderstorm so we decided to skip the beach this morning and headed back to the hotel to relax pool side.
Miami Beach is a beautiful stretch of beach between North and South Beach. I really do love the way the pinkish colored sand looks against the crystal blue of the ocean!
The beach is quite large and you will definitely find your spot on the sand, enjoy the hot sunshine and do some people watching.
During my visit, the sand and the ocean were littered with seaweed. I am sure it was because of the thunderstorm the night before, so it made beach a little less appealing. Notheless, we pulled up our beach chairs and enjoyed a few hours of sunning and bathing in cooling off in the water.
This is obvious, no? Our favorite beach entrance was at 76th & Collins ave. There is parking next to the library. And a block north is Sazón (they serve the best empanadas and Cuban coffee) and a convience store.
The hours are dawn until dawn. The current is quite strong so that is something to note.
A friend recommended the South Beach Culinary Tour so I signed up and it was one of best experiences. We spent over two hours learning about the history of South Beach while tasting a variety of food from local restaurants. There was Cuban, Columbian, Peruvian, and Jewish just to name a few. We even tried nitrogen ice cream... delish! The guide was very knowledgable about the food and the city. I learned a lot about the city and found some new restaurants that I will be returning to! It was a great way to explore my city and a tour I recommend for locals and visitors.... try it out....I went to the website (http://www.miamiculinarytours.com) to book my ticket. I learned there is also a tour in Little Havana which is the Cuban area which I will be trying soon!
Miami Beach never be defeated by Waikiki. Believe me, shown in the picture is when it was in February. The red heat sunshine burns all the time. I got tanned in a few hours. The color of my skin didn't seem like one of a far east asian's that evening already.
The blue is the sky and the green is the ocean endlessly so far away.
North Miami has one of the worlds best nude beaches where you can be nude or not---life is easy! Very clean, nice sand, nice folks who just wanna be naked! Usually pretty crowded on weekends, parking can get tight after about 10 in the morning so go early---The Ocean Palm Motel/Hotel is very close and you can wake up and just walk there via the beach. VT frowns on obvious nudity in its pix, so just to say, make this a visit and you won't be disappointed.
Around the 15700 block of Collins Avenue, North Miami Beach
From 9 July 2007 until its opening in March 2009, this previously neglected 17.5 acres was transformed into what has now become South Pointe Park.
This park is a great green space which curves around the southern side of the island and offers great views of the shipping channel and back to the Miami city skyline.
The park has public restrooms, water fountains and interactive water features. The park is also handicap accessible and available to rent for parties.
Miami Beach has a number of beaches which are accessible to the public, nearest to my hotel was South Beach.
Miami's beautiful, pristine white beaches have won numerous national and international awards. The beaches are provided with good public facilities and stretch for miles.
South Beach is both a neighborhood of Miami Beach, and a beautiful stretch of sand along the Atlantic Ocean. The neighborhood is trendy and extravagant, while the beaches are beautiful.
South Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Florida. Along the water here, you can find concession stands, beach chair and umbrella rentals, restrooms & shower facilities, walking and running trails, lots of volleyball courts, water sports rentals, and plenty of lifeguards during the day.
The Day Trip to the Grand Bahamas offers you to enjoy everything of a longer cruise in one day for a very decent price. ( U$70.00 incl. Bahamian departure fee & Harbour fee )
It is also the best way to travel to Freeport Grand Bahamas. Grand Bahama considered the second most popular island in the Bahamas, and its major city, Freeport, is regarded as the nation’s second city.
The liner is basically a hotel on water. You get a breakfast and lunch buffet on the way to Freeport and dinner on your return trip to south Florida. There is also lots of live entertainment and swimming pool onboard.
On arrival you can take a $25 dollar tour around Freeport, then come some shopping, drinking, catching sun on the beach (access through the Sheraton), and your time went by. With some good weather the trip makes you an awesome one day fun!
And by the way, how else can you get to the Grand Bahama with fun, food and drink for a fraction of the normal cost?
The beach at Miami Beach is something that you need to experience before you can understand what does it feel like to take a few steps from urban jungle into white sand beach. The beach and the buildings are separated with a narrow strip of green park in the southern part of the island, and a bit northern the beach just begins almost from the porch.
My biggest surprise was that how wide the beach is. There's plenty of space between the water and the dunes, so all kind of activities can take place. Alternatively, you can just rent a chair and watch the ocean. There is usually some watersport activities going on, so don't expect to have a pure calm sea view.
When you feel hungry or thirsty, you can walk a few blocks into the city and find plenty of bars, restaurant and grocery stores. Pretty convenient.
The Rooftop couples massage is unlike any other spa experience I've ever had because it's an outdoor massage with your significant other. Some may find it more difficult to relax because you can hear the music from the pool, but I enjoyed smelling the ocean air and feeling the breezes.
The massage was excellent, I recommend the deep tissue. This was a great Couples massages because you can talk to each other afterwards about the external and environmental factors that make this massage unique.
I thought I knew all about the ocean and stuff there in Miami Beach until I saw that Walkin tour of lincoln road book. It was at Books & Books on Lincoln Road but I caught it at Barnes & Noble.com.
I am really educated now and I loved my trip even more.
If you are looking to buy real estate in Miami then Metro 1 Properties is the company you want to get in contact with. They do both commercial and residential real estate and are here to help you with your real estate needs.
As I was lying almost dead under the murderous sunshine, a fascinating spectacle just entered in my sight. Two of girls were walking along the beach chatting each other smiling looking at me. Or maybe I was touched in my head by the heat. Anyhow, in the next moment, I was walking towards them with one of my mates.
Man, guess what I got at last ; )
