this is an enormous store with every type of beachwear imaginable for men, women, and children.

they also have surfing wear, sweatshirts, t-shirts, sarongs, cover-ups, etc. they will put a free decal on a sweatshirt or a t-shirt that you buy; there are lots of decals to choose from.

for women, there is a great selection of both one-piece and two-piece suits, including up to size 16 and some larger.

prices are very reasonable.

i don't know what time they open, but they close at 9 pm.

this quiet and relaxing day spa offers all kinds of body treatments, massages, facials, and manicures/pedicures. it specializes in services for women, but i think i remember that they have a few offerings for men too.

when you arrive, you are escorted to a nice locker room where you take off your clothes and store them in a locker (with its own key); the spa provides a long robe and some
flip-flops for you. then you wait briefly in a comfortable sitting room with cookies and coffee/tea. the receptionist also told me that i could get a glass of wine, but i forgot to ask for it!

the attendant then comes and gets you. for all services except manicures/pedicures, you have a private "treatment room." for manicures/pedicures, you go to a slightly larger room where several other people will also be getting a manicure/pedicure.

after your treatments, you return to the sitting room for cookies and coffee/tea; you can have a warm pillow around your neck and shoulders while you relax for a while more.

if you come early (the receptionist suggested that i come an hour or 45 mins before my treatments), you can use their two heated outdoor pools (smaller than swimming pools but larger than hot tubs). one has a waterfall. bring your bathing suit if you want to do this.

everyone there is very courteous, and everyone is very respectful of your privacy and your body. i would come here on another trip.

this day spa is attached to the riverview hotel, but i did not see any of the hotel.

open mon-thurs, 9 am to 7 pm; fri-sat, 9 am to 8 pm; sun, noon to 6 pm.

i was lucky to get in with a last-min appointment; they suggest you call several days in advance (the more services you want, the earlier you should call).

What to buy: i had a "deep-cleansing" one-hour facial for $65. it was very soothing.

i also had a 45-min pedicure for $40, which was pleasant but not as luxurious as pedicures i have had at other day spas.

in the lobby area, there are casual/informal clothes for sale, along with the spa's special skin products.

heavenly sandwiches and smoothies is next door, in case you want to have a yummy and healthful snack before or after (see my separate "restaurants" tip)!

What to pay: body treatments, $65-$110; massages, $45-$110; facials, $45-$85;
manicures/pedicures, $20-$50.
