All of them: Clubs and Bars

by Fullmoonfever Written Sep 12, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

There are many bars and nightclubs in Universal Studios. All are good, meaning I didn’t see any big difference between them. Mostly which one you choose depends on what kind of music you like.

Dress Code: Everyone that we have been in was casual, neat and casual. After all, people are on vacation!

    South Beach: South Beach

by goingsolo Written Nov 27, 2005

People come from all over the world to visit South Beach, or SoBe, as its known locally. This large collection of restaurants, hotels, bars and nightclubs is about as eclectic as you can get. The party does go on all night, with after hours places opening around 4 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon. In the winter months, the outdoor bars and restaurants are packed and the sidewalks are teeming with all walks of life.

There is a certain unique energy to South Beach and a variety of nightlife to fill every age group and taste. From high end restaurants to dive bars, packed nightclubs to quiet jazz venues, salsa, techno and practically anything in between, it can all be found out here.

The best way to see and experience South Beach is to stay at one of the hotels and hostels in the area. Spend your days soaking up the sun, wandering around the shops and eating at the sidewalk cafes and your evenings taking in Miami's party scene. Hotels can get pricey, especially in the winter high season and holidays. But there are a number of reasonably priced hostels within walking distance to the beach and the main attractions of South Beach. Its also a good idea to check with your hotel about VIP passes to some of the bars and nightclubs. The lines on a weekend night- or even a weekday- can get pretty long.

I guess I've seen too much of the South Beach scene to be impressed with it anymore. During the winter, its great to head to one of the outdoor bars and enjoy a few drinks and great weather. But the crowds, traffic and high prices make this a bit of a chore. Still, its something to experience.

Dress Code: It really depends on where you are going. Some of the outdoor venues, including the Delano, allow shorts, especially in tourist season, where flowered shirts and shorts appear to be the norm. For the clubs and restaurants, some people prefer to dress up a bit more, in attire that will get them in the door for the former and in something more than casual for the latter. Very few restaurants in Miami require a jacket and tie, but its best to check if you're going high end.

South Beach: Florida's Number One Beach

by grandmaR Written Sep 6, 2004

The Travel Channel nominates South Beach as the number one beach in Florida for the hot bodies on the beach (and acceptance of toplessness), the high fashion cosmopolitan visitors and inhabitants, but most of all for the night life, all night every night.

Watching people's open eyes and mouths: Some different fun from sunset

by OlenaKyiv Written Jun 4, 2004

"Look! Look! How it is beautiful!"
You will hear this every evening from people who walk around with cameras, children, friends, spouses, who watch the sunset. Probably it is the hundred-first time they watch it, but they enjoy it again and again.

The bar was quite an experience! It was carnival atmosphere, young and old. I found myself walking around in there feeling like a sardine, watching the activity going on on the bar tops and having to scream to my friends as it was loud in there. Met a NY pitcher in the parking lot, had invites to boat parties!

State ClubLounge: Beautiful Place to Dance or Relax

by coachjames Written May 4, 2004

State is a beautiful new club in South Beach. With two rooms, upstairs and downstairs, a balcony, and an amazing DJ booth, it combines the best aspects of both a large dance club as well as a comfortable lounge. This is a *great* place to go after you have had dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants on Lincoln Rd.

Saturdays start at 10pm. The resident DJs are Pierre Zonzon in the Gold Room upstairs playing European House, World Beats, & Dance Classics and downstairs in the Main Room is Carlos Soulman spinning Sexy Hip Hop and R&B. This is a newer club and has been completely renovated. The interior is very chic and classy, as is the clientele.

They do have a fairly strict door policy, so it is best to be on a guestlist to ensure easier entry. I have secured such a list for this club for Saturdays. Email me at james@uncommontimes.com for reservations. In addition, you will enjoy complimentary entry before midnight.

Dress Code: This is a very nice, trendy club. Dress with imagination and style. For easier entry, be sure to show up with ladies in your party.

The beach: Going for a walk

by tpangelinan Written Mar 1, 2004

For us, one of the most romantic things is to go for a moonlit walk on the beach. It's so peaceful at night you can hear the waves breaking on the beach, getting your toes wet. Ok sorry didn't want to get to mushy on yah! But you do have to try it if you haven't!

Adult Bar: Madonna Club Miami Beach

    by ak47uk Written Feb 9, 2004

Club Madonna South Beach's Hottest Adult Gentlemen's Club is Open From 6pm to Sex am. The club is a famous attraction on South Beach. South Florida's sexiest exotic acts are totally nude on stage. With our sister clubs, South Beach Showgirls and Black Gold we have hundreds of dancers performing on our stages nightly. We are always looking for the hottest acts and sign on new acts daily.

Dress Code: I have no idea about the dress code or any other thing about this place it was one of many that we saw in Miami Beach, one of the reason being that we did't go in was that we were told that it is quite expensive.
