While visiting Hans' brother, we took a little side trip to Orlando and went to the huge MALL AT MILLENIA. Talk about posh, there is even Valet parking located outside the Main Entrance.
Two levels of shopping is in store for you. Department stores include - Bloomingdale's, Macy's & Neiman Marcus. Name Brand Shops include - Banana Republic, Chanel, Dior, Gap, Gucci, Guess, J. Crew, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret. Jewelry Stores include - Cartier and Tiffany & Co. Home Furnishings & GIfts include - Crate & Barrel, Lladro, Pottery Barn, Swarovski and Yankee Candle Company. Restaurants include - Cheesecake Factory, Blue Martini, Johnny Rockets & P.F. Chang's China Bistro. There is also a huge Food Court and full service U.S. Post Office.
Mall hours Monday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Mercado Village is a small shopping complex situated on International Drive, and designed along the theme of a village. It has a large courtyard in the middle, where you can sit and have a drink, and they have regular free entertainment. The shop units are all individual shops selling various things, mostly aimed at the tourists, but done in a very tasteful way. None of your tacky bargain souvenirs here! The shops stay open until about 9pm, possibly 10pm.
There are also restaurants eg. Damons (see restaurant tip), Butchers Shop, Charlies's Lobster House and Bergamos Italian, not to mention the Cricketers British Pub!!
Inside there is an international food court, which is excellent value, and great if all members of your family want something different to eat one evening. There is BBQ chicken, Pizza, Burgers etc, Thai, Chinese.
For a souvenir which is a bit different, there is also a unit which takes your photo in sepia in old American costumes and you can have it in the form of a "Wanted" poster !!!!!

The Florida Mall is the biggest indoor shopping centre that I have ever been to.
The food area is amazing, it is one big room packed with tables and chairs in the middle with a large variety of food outlets round the outside. You can get something from each one and all sit together in the middle.
One of my favourite stores is the Franklin Mint Shop where you can buy very acurate detailed minatures of animals, people and vehicles amongst other things.

We shopped 'till we dropped ... my first magnificent purchase was made by my cousin for me at Tiffiany & Co... my first pair of earrings are a gorgeous pair of 1837 hoop earrings presented in a little green box.
I still can't believe they're mine! Thank you sweetheart!

Cory's brother took us here, assuring us we would love it even though we both said we didn't want to go. I ended up sitting on a bench and Cory was getting sick in the bathroom. I think his brother's wife had a good time, though.

I really liked the Orlando Premium Mall. It has a Nike store, Timberland shop, French connection UK store.
