Right down the street from the Seralago Hotel there were several souvenir shops selling what appeared to be official Disney merchandise at slightly less than the stores at Disney World. The prices at all of them are reduced but Bargain World seemed to be one of the biggest with the most selection.
You can find these types of stores all throughout the Orlando/Kissimmee area so no need to find this particular store.
What to buy:
The merchandise all appears to be first quality stuff with the Disney tags attached and better quality tshirt material, perhaps it's stuff that didn't sell at Disney? In any event, I picked up tshirts for the kids and some Mickey Mouse pajamas for myself, the 2006 tshirts were a good deal since the end of the year is almost here, the rest was slightly reduced.
Island Supply is a souvenier shop in Adventureland. They have the usual Disney merchandise as well as tropical themed clothing and accesories. Liz and I wandered in and took a look to see if anything caught our eye. They had some nice children's clothing and tee shirts but we didn't need to buy any children's souveniers on this trip
The World of Disney Store made an intersting first impression. Ther is a huge figure of Stitch dressed as a pirate on top of the building that spits water below onto the people passing by. We were sprayed with water and had no idea where it was coming from until we looked up.
The store has everything Disney themed from housewares, clothing, jewelry, artwork, bathing suits, baby items and children's costumes. The staff is very friendly and eager to help you with your purchases.
What to buy:
I bought a cool ALoha Mickey Shirt and a Mickey Tie. Liz bought a baby gift for her friend's daughter that was realy cute and girly.
What to pay:
Inexpensive to expenisive (the jewelry and art department)
If you are wandering one of the many Walt Disney World shops and sean item you like but wonder how you'll get it home....don't worry. Disney has a mail order service. Liz told me about her extensive use of this service. Whenever you se an item youwant just snap a picture or write down the SKU #. When you get home you can call the mail order number give them the product information and the shop you saw the item in and order it to ship to your home. This service is perfect for people who have to lug home their purchases on a plane.
Shipping prices vary according to the value of the merchandise and how quickly you want it shipped.
I bought a lot of jewelry at the Disney theme stores. It is not locally made and is junk.
It All, and I am serious, broke within 2 weeks of coming home.
Stay with other items. We also bought picture frames, a Disney girl doll (only $40 lol),T-shirts and stuffed animals. No problems with these items.
DISCOUNT TICKETS:
As far as discount tickets there is a place in Kissimmee (suburb or Orlando and not far away from Disneyworld) called Billy Boys Discount Tickets. If you look at the building from the outside you'll wonder if you should even step in there, but they have been around for quite some time and the last time we were in Orlando 2 years ago we picked up discount tickets for the Space Center, Universal and a dinner theatre. They are located on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (Highway 192).
Well in Down Town Disney you can really find anything with Disney Characters on it. So i you like Disney, an allready have seen the parks there's really no need to go in the parks to get some Disney Souvenirs... Just go here, parking is free and you can shop, dine, see performances or just strawl for a few hours.
Uhm..don't forget where you left your car....especially when it is a rental car and you don't know exactly how it looks....
Put something in the window you can recognize...it really helps...

What to buy:
Souvenirs
What to pay:
To much most of the time, in the Orlando area are lot's of souvenir shops that carry Disney stuff at a lower price.
You'll find in International Drive a lots of shops, several of them chinese-owned shops, where you can buy gifts cheaper than in the Disney parks.
Also it's found there my favorite US shoes shop: Payless ShoeSource....
Design a Tee is a new store to the Marketplace (it was once the Disney Memories store and is right behind Disney's Days of Christmas). This store has computers taht help you design your own custom Disney tee shirt from the color, character and wording on the shirt. Just design your shirt, pick out what color and pop it into the pneumatic tube for customization. Wait times can vary but if you are staying at a Disney Resort, just request your finished shirt to be delivered to your guest room.
The shirts are good quality (Hanes is the sponsor of this store). Prices are anywhere from $18-31 which isn't bad for a custom Disney Tee......
What to buy:
Tees for the whole family
What to pay:
$18-31
If you're looking for Disney souvineers, don't spend a lot of time shopping around for prices and variety of items. Other than "theme" items like Mickey in safari gear, you'll see the same things in every store at every park. I found the biggest variety at Mickey Gear at Epcot and a similar store at Downtown Disney.
What to buy:
The quality of stuff is good and there are plenty of things to consider, from magnets to pens to coffee mugs to tennis shoes to hats to watches, and of course t-shirts and sweatshirts. Even things for very tiny babies.
What to pay:
All in all I'd say the prices are fairly reasonable -- you ARE at Disney so expect to pay a little more for something Mouse related, but the stuff is fun and unique so splurge a little for that cute tank top.

The BEST BUY for mugs, keychains and magnets is WALMART. There are four locations to choose from that are near the I-Drive/Kissimmee corridor. They have Disney goods at great prices. Why buy at the parks when you can get variety and price at Walmart??
"Why buy at the parks when you can get variety and price at Walmart?"
The simple answer is that I do not buy anything at Walmart!
I do understand that. Most of us do not like that experience. But there are quite a few people who want to save money and may have not had that Walmart experience.
