Swimming with dolphins at Discovery Cove
It's an absolutely magical experience to interact with such beautiful creatures you normally only get to see on TV! Although a word of advice, you go out with about 6 or 7 other people and each take turns in having your own individual interaction. If you go on your swim with a friend, partner etc you share your interaction with them. So to spend more time with the dolphin do the swim by yourself. Your friends and relatives can then take photos and vice versa and save money on buying the expensive photos taken of you (Although they are brill and I bought nearly all of mine!!)
Shamu? Yes, this is where Shamu, the killer whale, can be found. Actually, there are three SeaWorlds, so there must be three Shamus, right? ;) Anyway, Shamu will do tricks like the one where he splashes some of the audience. There are tons of shows that show off the sea life, plus exhibits where you can pet sting rays or gawk at sharks. There are even some rides, I believe. Anyway, it's another neat tourist-filled park! :)
Fantastic shows and exibits! It will take 2 full days to see and do everything. If you want a unique experience and have lots of money, you can also sign up for the special, limited tour where you can swim with the dolphins and killer whales. You can actually see them up close and in person and reach out to touch them. My oldest son did this on a recent school trip and he loved it!!

seaworld is a lovely park when you need a rest and although it may sound a bit too informative for the kids it is always a hit with mine. i also highly reccomend discovery cove
seawold isa smaller park which can easily be seen with a rest in the day and you can also return to your favourite attractions at the end. discovery cove is an experience of a lifetime especially if you include the dolphin swim
The last theme park we visited...
The last theme park we visited was SeaWorld. Of course the most famous attraction there is the show with orca (I don't like the name 'killer whale') Shamu. Obviously we went to see that! And lucky thing it was December, so it wasn't too busy.
The themeparks! Disney World,...
The themeparks! Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios
I liked Universal and Disney MGM & Epcot Center the best. Maybe that's because I'm a bit of a movie freak..
Sea World is run by Anheuser Busch (of Budweiser fame) Great shows - dolphins, killer whales including Shamu, walrus & seals - are all great! Sit in the Splash Zone for a lot of fun. Krakken, the new roller coaster is awesome! Also, enjoy a few 'adult' beverages from Anheuser Busch in their tasting room.
Enjoyment of this attraction depends alot on your views regarding performing Whales and Dolphins. There is no doubt that these creatures belong in the sea. There is also no doubt that very few people whould get to see a killer whale anywhere other than Sea World. Sea World Florida also features a couple of thrill rides including the new journey to Atlantis, a sort of giant log flume. I really enjoyed the Manetee center where injured manatees are rehabilitated. It is a sad fact that the future of this species depends very much on places like Sea World

Definately take a trip over to nearby Sea World. It is located on I-4 on the way to Disney, and you'll see it off the highway on the left hand side as you approach. It is a very fun place to visit even more so now that they added to roller coasters to the adventure.
There are now two main aspects of the park. The first, and original concept was sea animals. The second, is roller coasters. Sit down in the 'wet zone' and have Shamu the whale soak you with his freezing cold water, or pet stingrays as they swim by your feet. See polar bears, penguins, otters, whales, hand feed dolphins, ride roller coasters..... you can see there's a lot to do here!
Disney World, Sea World,...
Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Wet N' Wild, Cypress Gardens. Or you can take an hour drive to the coast (Tampa, Clearwater, etc.) If you are in Orlando during Spring Training for Major League Baseball you can attend Spring Training sites for many Major League teams. (Detroit Tigers (Lakeland), Kansas City Royals (Baseball City), Cleveland Indians (Winter Haven), etc.
Very fun places. Check out their web-sites to find the most detailed information.
Wet N' Wild-www.wetnwild.com
apart from the various interactive shows and exhibitions these is an abundance of wildlife to see, particularly that which is native to Florida such as the Manitee (Sea Cow) a beautiful Mamal in danger of extinction..
i'm not keen on seeing captive animals, but the orca is spectacular
lots of other stuff to keep the kids happy all day

A cool thing to do on a hot day!
It was a very hot day in Orlando when we were here and cooling off was necessary! The play area was a welcome visit and gave us our second wind!
