Islands of Adventure is the second of Universal's parks. Islands of Adventure has more thrill rides than Universal studios. The park is divided into sections: Seuss LAnding, The Lost Continent, Jurrasic Park, Toon Lagoon and Marvel Superhero Island.

Seuss Landing and Toon Lagoon is geared more the children and families but we did ride the Dudley Do Right Log flume and Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges.in Toon Lagoon. Dudley was a fun flume ride that didn't get us too wet. Popey and Bluto was a water rapid adventure that kept us spining and geting splashed.

The Lost Continent was fun with Posideon's Fury. It is a fun adventure where you walk into caves that look like they have ancient Greek artifacts. All of a sudden you and your groupare trapped infront of Posideon where a water and fire battle begins for supremacy of the Gods. It was a fun atraction. Dueling Dragons is one of the roller coaster rides of the park but neither of us were in the mood of seeing our breakfast for the second time.

Jurrasic Park had some awesome rides such as the Jurassic Park River Adventure and the Pteranodon Flyers. The River adventure was a great ride on boats through Jurrasic Park and the dinosaurs are free. The ride ends with T-Rex ready to eat us when the boat plummets down hill for a final splash. It's good fun.

Marvel Super Hero Island has some incredible looking coasters: Spiderman, Incredible Hulk and Storm Form Aceleratron.

Islands of Adventures was a fun Park and we had a great time here.

Islands of Adventure is another themepark within Universal Studios. Thrilling rides awaits you as you explore the Island of Spiderman, the Hulk and other superheroes. Character parade takes place in the afternoon at the Main St. (check brochures for schedules). So, if you plan to have photo sessions with these superheroes fro souvenirs and keepsake :-) better yet prepare your cam after the parade coz thats the time they do photo sessions except for Spiderman who has a special photo area. The rest of the gang will just be roaming around the Main St. after the parade.
Personally, this themepark is less spacious compared to the other themeparks in Orlando. Walkways are small, few resting areas and the place gets too crowded so easily.
Nevertheless, having photos with Spiderman, Wolverine, Storm and Capt. America wrapped up our day.

    Note:
Bring extra clothes coz you'll get wet /soak if you'll go for the water rides.

This is a separate theme park from Universal Studios. It's divided in to 5 areas: Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent, and Seuss Landing.

They have a little something for people of all ages. Great roller coaster rides are Incredible Hulk Coaster and Dueling Dragons. The water rides are a good way to stay cool during the day. Spider-Man is a neat ride. Marvel Super Hero Island is a must see for comic buffs and Seuss Landing is a must for young kids.

Busts are Doctor Doom's Fearfall and Poseidon's Fury.

We planned our trip to catch both Islands of Adventures and Disneyworld. For me, there was no comparison between the two. I loved Islands of Adventure and was less than thrilled with Disneyworld.

Islands of Adventure is a classic theme park - amusement park. Lots of rides, especially thrill rides. We thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent at the park. Since we were staying at the Portofino Bay hotel, we got line jumper passes that allowed us to move right up to the front on all the rides - definitely the way to do it!!!

This is the best theme park in Orlando if not anywhere. All the rides are extremely brilliant! The 3D spiderman ride is awesome, we went on it about 6 times and never got bored! the Hulk ride (apparantly- i am too scaredy to go on it!) Is outta this world! I don want to give away too many secrets of the rides cos half the fun is finding out for yourself! Jurrassic park is a surprising stomach lurcher
And... the best ride DUELLING DRAGONS its fantastic, now I did go on this one but never managed to open my eyes - but it felt great!
Apparantly some guy lost his artificial leg on this ride, so make sure your stuff is secure befor going on!
This beats Disney and universal studios itself, dont miss out!
Theres also a Dr Seuss bit if you have any little ones.

If you need to choose between Universal Studios or Island of Adventure, don’t be afraid and chose the second one…..They have two fantastic coasters there: Hulk and the Dragons one….it’s awesome!!!!!
If you only have one day, buy the combo ticket for the 2 parks….But go to the Island first!!!!!!

The best theme park probably after Universal Studios is Islands Of Adventure. It's just filled with fun rides! The best rides in Islands Of Adventure would be: spiderman, The Hulk and the jurassic park river adventure.

Islands of Adventure -- all about the thrill rides

I visited Islands of Adventure for the first time in December 2005. Let me preface this tip by saying that I am not a roller coaster junkie. That said, Jurassic Park was the ride only one I felt semi-comfortable about trying. That's because unlike its sister park next door, Islands is all about thrill rides. I still had fun, but others in my party received quite a rush from the park's high speed offerings. There seemed to be a debate over whether Dueling Dragons or Hulk was the better coaster. My wife thought DD was best, so I'll take her word for it. As for my ride, Jurassic Park was kind of a combination of Disney's Jungle Cruise and Splash Mountain rides. I liked it -- except for the drop at the end. If you are not into roller coasters, Universal Studios , next door, offers more sedate attractions. If you get the right kind of pass, you can actually walk back and forth between both parks on the same day.

We planned this trip primarily to visit the two Harry Potter Worlds, which we enjoyed immensely. But we enjoyed some of the other attractions just as much. As two middle-aged adults without children we thought we might feel strange. We didn't. There were lots of "adults only". Traveling mid September and a marginal weather forecast kept the crowd level low. Both parks were remarkably clean, including the restrooms. Follow all the advice given here on VT regarding getting to the park early, visiting most popular rides first, purchase fast pass, etc. Staying at a hotel on park property was a huge bonus. The addition of easy access, secure lockers next to the rides which do not allow back packs, purses, sunglasses, etc is very helpful. The rides are thrilling! A great time :)

Probably the best ride in Orlando: you participate very realistic in a Spider Man adventure. An absolute must!
Universal Express available (and you'd better use them, because the lines are endless). Minimum height 40' or 102cm.

Another great soaking adventure, this time in water rapids. Nice touch: people can target you from outside (there is 'guns' that can be target at the poor victims below in the water...) Minimum height = 48'. Universal Express available.

Two duelling, inverted roaller coasters, what provide at least one really scary moment (when they seem to almost touch each other, with you in the middle!).
Minimum height: 54'. Universal Express available.
