While we were in Panama City we ate dinner at the ultimate Panama City place to be, Schooner's. The place bills itself as the 'Last Local Beach Club & Restaurant', I wouldn't go that far seemed very touristy and not too local, plus there are many other places like it nearby.
What makes Schooner's unique is that it is right on the beach. The food was good and the scenery was relaxing, especially at sunset.
At sunset they shoot off a minature canon, a Schooner's tradition. There was entertainment with a band playing the night we were there.

Great German food and beer in the St. Andrews area near the harbour. The inside is a little on the small side with plently of character. The beer selection is amazing and the food and service is excellent.
Favorite Dish: Jagersnitzel, Bratkartoffel and Erdinger Dark.

This buffet costs nearly $24.00 and was all sub-standard fare--worth 7 bucks (possibly). Nothing seemed very fresh. You could go to any of the hundreds of Chinese buffets around and get better food without being gouged.
Favorite Dish: Their french fries were acceptable.

Yeah as for Dirty Dicks, It was not so hott! Of course the atmosphere was ok but as far as the food it was nothing to write home about. In fact mine wasnt even good enough to finish. My date felt the exact same way! So I would avoid this place and look elsewhere.

Wow, I really enjoyed my tasty Grecian Grouper at the Black Angus. Broiled gulf grouper topped with Feta cheese and Greek spices.
The restaurant was rather large with ample seating areas. The service was extremely slow despite not being busy, but the good food made up for it.
The menu, as the name suggests, also served steaks.
Favorite Dish: Grecian Grouper rocked!

I had some really good shrimp at the Captain's Table. The restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. The shrimp was excellent and all fairly priced. The restaurant gets busy frequented by locals, not a touristy place.
Favorite Dish: Shrimp: shrimp poboys, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp...basically the shrimp.

If your in the area then you must make it a point to visit this establishment. If you take my advice I promise you won't be sorry.
Favorite Dish: Bucket of Ribs. If you ever decide to visit then you must get the house specialty. You will not be disappointed. You may want to wash it down with a margarita.
