Naval Air Station
Pensacola has a tremendous naval air station which trains many of our aerial specialists of the military. Navy and Marine men and women train here for the great instruction. So, you may see many of these brave souls out and about town. It also means when the patriotic times of year approach you can often find many wonderful things going on. The fourth of July is always wonderul and sometimes the base even lets civilians into their festivities. They even have a museum. But call ahead because it's often hard to get onto base without a family member working/studying there.
It also has a hotel/inn you can stay at on base for cheap if you have permission of a commanding officer's rank who is on base for training.
On a side note: Thank you to all the brave men and women who serve our wonderful, free country!! And thanks to the families who support them :)
The most 'value for money' time to visit is September through to March. Pensacola averages 343 days of sunshine a year. The southerly winds off the Gulf of Mexico keeps the temperatures mild. · Average high temperature: 77° and Average low temperature of 60° .

This aircraft is what brought me to the Pensacola area. It is an AC130(H) Spectre Gunship. The company I work for manufactures the Infrared system used for targeting. The two big guns are trainable to the Infrared and LLLTV (Low Light Level TV) systems and are deadly accurate. These aircraft have been used in numerous conflicts throughout the world and I've had the pleasure of accompany them to several of these places.
