Fort Barrancas is a part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore that is on the Pensacola Naval Air Station. They have a small store there which has various inexpensive items such as books, videos, toys, maps, pins and patches.
What to buy: The Fort Barrancas Story (a book) is $3.95
Gulf Island National Seashore patch $3.95
Gun models such as a Mortar 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" H model - $14.95
Large 8" replica of Pensacola Light $22.00
The shop is really a tea shop and gift shop all in one. The owner, Ms. Lucy, is super friendly and had us all laughing with her stories. It is located in the historic district of downtown, and is very quaint and relax. They have a High Tea "Pensacola style", and dress up parties for children, but you have to have reservation---and the prices are very very reasonable compared to other places in the Panhandle area.
What really made it special for me was that it felt so relaxing to just sit there and listen to the music; atmosphere
What to buy: There are antiques, photos that date back to the 1800's, books from local artists, new tea related items, free wi-fi connection, hot tea, cold tea, my favorite are the smooties (to die for).
Art. Pensacola has a lot of local artists.
What to pay: $1.25 for a cup of hot tea, $3.25 for my favorite smoothie, and I think $14.95 for High Tea.
This place is great! It is friendly, helpful and lots of fun. They have so much stuff you can't believe it. It is one of the nicest antique malls I have ever been to.
What to buy: They have furniture, glassware, souvenirs and so much more, all with great prices.
What to pay: You can spend under $10 and get some great stuff.
Everytime I come to Pensacola with the dog, we always make a morning stop at Central Bark for a cup of coffee and gourmet dog cookie. They bake them fresh, daily. All their products are organic and completely healthy.
What to buy: Peanut butter Squirrel Cookies
What to pay: $2 to $5 for a cookie, $2-3 for a coffee
This place has anything that you could ever imagine (and some things you can't) that you would need or want when you're here. They have clothing, including swimsuits, swimming gear, jewelry, toys, cards, souvenirs, and assorted knick-knacks here. It's fun just to go in and look around at all the stuff!
Great prices and great looking clothes. Most everything is in a tropical print. They have skirts, shirts, pants. Great looking and comfortable too. Jewelry and belts to match.
