dekle beach is located about 20 miles south east of perry on CR361. dekle beach is probably the ugliest beach in florida. in fact there is no beach just a mud flat. dekle beach is known for it's fishing. there are also bird and wildlife watching opportuntities at dekle beach. dekle beach is really off the beaten path !

steinhatchee is another off the beaten path place to see about 30 miles south east of perry. steinhatchee is much larger than both dekle and keaton beach and has a lot more to offer the tourist. steinhatchee has a nice motel and a couple of good restaurants. people come to steinhatchee for it's excellent fishing. steinhatchee is located at the intersection of CR361 and CR51 in southeast taylor county. for more information see my steinhatchee pages.
