Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille - Historic St A
On a rain-drenched night in St. Augustine, we waited for a break in the deluge before sneaking down the street from Meehan's to Harry's. When we arrived we quickly found our way to the small bar and occupied two of the six or eight stools. We started with a few Yuengling beers ($3.50 each) then decided to try an appetizer. We selected their shrimp and crawfish "fondeaux" ($8.50). This cheesy sauce came with shrimp and tiny crawfish pieces with mushrooms, served with toasted French bread. The food was really tasty, though I'm sure it was not too healthy.
The bartender was a bit below average and kind of rude to the other workers. We also heard them laughing about a few customers that hadn't been served in 20 minutes. Also, the men's room was oddly situated so that a diner sitting in one of the tables right outside the door had a grand view of the urinal... she probably got quite a show along with her dinner.
Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille: Yummy!!!
Creole and cajun type food in a homey atmosphere. There's lots of nice seating outside. Its even supposedly haunted!! ;)
Favorite Dish: Shrimp and scallop creole...HUGE shrimp and scallops served with a cajun type sauce over fried grits.... SOOOO GOOD! A bit spicy.
Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille: gorgeous outside dining
You can choose to sit outside or inside, the outside is just gorgeous..The food is "new orleans style" with lots of cajun items on the menu..a wonderful place to meet up with two other VT'ers!!
Favorite Dish: I had the oysters poor boy.....a sandwich with fried oysters....it was GREAT... I've also eaten here before and had the mahi mahi...also GREAT..
Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille: Most beautiful courtyard for al fresco dining
Harry's is a New Orleans-themed restaurant offering a variety of American and seafood dishes. The restaurant has two parts: inside, located in an old historic building along the Bayfront, and outside, in a beautifully landscaped courtyard full of tropical flowering plants and shady trees.
I strongly recommend eating outside in the courtyard. The inside of the restaurant, while being New Orleans themed, is actually rather dull and boring with lots of white walls. In contrast, the courtyard is full of colorful plants and the sounds of chirping birds.

Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille: Fresh Seafood
This was such a nice place. Big outdoor courtyard and great service. I think we all got the Oyster Po' Boy's and they were pretty good.
Great atmosphere, thanks, Katmosphere!
