An excellent crab shack we stumbled upon. A little out of the way, but well worth the visit. Fried platters are heaping trays of seafood, "boil" (corn, sausage, broccoli, red potatoes, mushrooms), plus hushpuppies, fries, onion rings and cole slaw. We got the 1/2 platter which easily fed 2 for only $29.50. A dozen steamed clams served with the boiled vegetables was only $7. Also available is grilled or blackened fish, shrimp & chicken, burgers, bar-b-q ribs and chicken, seafood from the kettle, and a kids menu. Casual atmosphere, indoor and outdoor dining, plus TV's abound for the sports fans. Go there by auto or by boat, they have ample dock space.
Favorite Dish: The fried platter, which included shrimp, gator, clam strips, crab cakes, plus all that I mentioned above. We were going to stop back on our way home from Orlando, but my husband didn't think he'd be able to drive home.

St Augustine is the best place in Florida. It doesn't even feel like you are in Florida. It has a long, sorted history involving Greeks, The Spanish, and Pirates. This all creates a very funky vibe....
