This is a gorgeous state park, on Anastasia Island. It has four miles of sandy white beaches and a self guided nature path that takes about half an hour to walk. There is also a fantastic place to go fishing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking and there is a rental place right in the park.
There is also a campground withink easy walking distance to the beach. And birdwatching is supposed to be fantastic here..
Washington Oaks is a beautiful, tropical State Park. There are some really nice nature trails, one takes you to the Mantanza's River. When I went there last I saw two dolphins jumping in the water at sunset.
It also has a formal rose garden, very pretty, and the hill at the top of the rose garden iwas formed by oyster shells and other stuff that the Indians discarded.
