Ybor city is located in Tampa but it is way better than trying to party in St. Pete. There are streets and streets of clubs. We went to Atmosphere which had a wooden dancefloor that rotated. No thanks--not good for heels or people drinking! The cover charge is $10 for most clubs around there so it makes it hard to club hop. Club Prana looked like a better choice.

I came to Harp and Thistle to watch a Celtic-Rock band Rathkeltair perform around dinner time. Arriving early to get seats, my group dined and drank for about 3 hours until the entertainment finally arrived. Oh, that was plenty of time alright. This Irish pub has a decent feeling of authenticity, however I was quite disappointed by the selection of beers on tap. They only had 3 Irish brews, and the rest were all domestic. Now how dare they call themselves an Irish pub! At least they had Guinness....
Anyway the owners and hostesses are all extremely friendly; I was rather blown away by their hospitality. I'd come back just to chat with some locals.

Annie Moore's Irish Pub - A great pint of Guinness, delicious fish and chips, and live, (mostly) traditional irish music.
Really owened by an Irishman! Lot's of Northern European Ex-pats seem to frequent this establishment.
