We went to a nice mini golf place (can't remember the name again, sorry -- I think it was Smugglers Cove or something like that, but they have little alligators you can feed as a clue of which one it is.) The kids enjoyed this and it was relatively close to Sanibel in Fort Myers Beach
located on causeway road just as you enter the island from the bridge is the sanibel island visitor center. here you can get a map of the island and all the information you will need for hotels, restaurants, and attractions. a good first stop when in sanibel.
Sanibel has bike trails all through the island. There are several places to rent bikes. We brought our own. You need to observe all traffic rules, but the paths are well laid out and easy to navigate.
