Me and a friend went with an open mind, hadn't had german food before so we thought it might be cool. First off, the waiter was a real smart ass, it took 12 minutes to be served just for our drinks and we were like the second to last table in the whole place. I ordered a coke and my friend had a water with lemon. We couldn't help but notice and feel how greasy the glasses felt, we looked at them, greasy as hell, the place felt like 90 degrees and there was little ice in the drinks. When we asked for more ice and lemon for the water ,the waiter kinda gave us a sigh and "omg" look. I had a veal schnitzel and my friend the same.veal was decent if it hadn't been for the grease, it was plate of grease, the potatoes were greasy and cold from the grill since they musta been leftovers, even my side salad was greasy with some oil and no veggies, just wilted pieces of lettuce. My friend wanted dessert. I ordered a plum cake while he had a apple strudel. We decided to take our dessert to the counter and strike a convo with the owners. The 50 yr old german guy Heinrich, was hard to understand and kept talking to us like we were children "ehhhh I own this restaurant, I make the schnitzel I give you ehhhhhh the schnitzel with roasted potatoes with salad and ehhh you give me the money , this is a business". 8 minutes of listening to him talk nonsense and waiting for our dessert sucked, I glanced inside the back, I saw my plum cake come out of the microwave and the women handled it completely with her god knows how germy of a hand and tipped it onto a different plate. Some dude got out a thing of whip from the fridge, gave it a generous squirt and the owner heinrich yelled out and walked to him "IT'S TOO MUCH!!! when I go bankrupt I look to you ehhh for the ehhh money". My friend ate his bravely and said it tasted like ***. They were nice enough to take my dessert off the check. When we left we breathed a sigh of relief, our stomachs still growling, out $40's, and was hotter inside than outside.
Favorite Dish: The Veiner Schnitzel was decent
My favorite! Casual dining, Good Bar menu and Seafood selection, usually a few daily specials. Best fish and chips this side of the big pond! The big attraction here is the waterfront bar. Great view, lots of friendly locals to entertain you, Great place to end the day.
Favorite Dish: Fish and Chips

the columbia st. armands circle is one of several columbia restaurants in florida. the original columbia was established in the ybor city area of tampa in 1905. i have dined at the original columbia in tampa and a couple of other locations around the state and find the quality of the food and service to be consistant with the original. good spanish and american fare. they offer a large patio area on st. armands circle for outside dining. reservations recommended during the winter tourist season.
Lunches or dinners, if you like Thai food here is a great restuarant to try while in Sarasota. You will not be sorry. The place is very clean, the service is excellent, and it is easy on your wallet.
Favorite Dish: We've tried many things on the menu and I favor the Seafood Ladnar. It is the pictured dish in the long plate. Shrimp, scallops, and Squid over the usual mixure of vegatables. The other dish pictured is a stir-fried Pad Prik Prao.
Hearty noodle soup ("PHO") gives this place its name. They have about twenty varieties on the menu. Beef, meatballs, chicken, shrimp, etc are all variations. Large bowls and very good. The service was wonderful even when it got crowded.
Favorite Dish: I can't remember the name but it was a shrimp soup. Plenty of shrimp, between six to eight large ones. More than enough.
Me and my family recently attended Primo's resturant and the service that we recieved was horrible. I am a sever myself and have been for the last 6 years, and i have never been treated so bad in my entire life. Our sever's name was Jackie and just because me and my boyfriend were young and we have a child with us was clearly the reason why she gave us such bad service. Had she treated us with the same respect that she treated her other tables she would have recieved a better tip. I am very diapointed in the way she conducted herself. let me elaberate on how bad the service was. we order drinks and water and had to ask for the water. we order more herbs and never recieved them. justin my boyfriend ordered a beer and never got it. she never came back to the table to ask us how the meal was. she never came back to the table to pick up our dirty plates. never did she offer us a dessert. i can't believe that she had the nerve to conversate with the other tables and never with us. I can honestly say that the food was good and on time but the service was very poor!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Favorite Dish: chicken valentino and the swordfish garbriel
Hans and I were both in the mood for a Chinese Buffet. Lo and Behold - SPLENDID BUFFET. And it was totally awesome. They offered a wonderful "All-you-can-eat", delicious Buffet consisting of steamed Crab Legs, giant prauns, peel-and-eat shrimp.sweet & Sour Chicken, Sushi, BBQ Spare Ribs and much much more. They even had a Mongolian BBQ section. Also a soup and salad bar and dessert & fruit selections.

All of our meals at this restaurant and it's sister restaurant, Cafe on the Bay, have been excellent but we especially like the Lobster bisque. It is rich, creamy, and filled with generous chunks of lobster.
Yes, this is a franchised restaurant, but the entree's here are delicious!! If you're in town, you'll have to check this place out, and being on Tamiami Trail (41) its very convenient to those who stay on the key. Tip: Make reservations as this is a very popular place, especially on the weekends.
Favorite Dish: I'm always a big fan of the Mahi Mahi
This restaurant is off the beaten track in Sarasota, but well worth the trip. Take a cab if you have to. The interior is painted in bright colors giving it a festive atmosphere. The food is great, too.
Favorite Dish: I can't remember what all we had, but I know that we tried a variety of items and all of it was excellent!
This is a small little restaurant in a strip mall, but the food was excellent and inexpensive. We ate here a couple of times while we were in Sarasota.
Favorite Dish: I had another variation of Nam Sod, my favorite Thai salad, along with my favorite soup – coconut, chicken soup. Both lived up to my expectations.
