Be sure to visit 'Cocoon,' a little hole in the wall deli on Hwy 30A for the best smoked tuna dip on the planet and an endless variety of hot sauces for sale. Goatfeathers fish market and one or two others offer FRESH shrimp, oysters, and local fish depending on the season.

Favorite thing: Visit in the spring (March - May) or the fall (October - November) when the heat of the summer is gone but it's still warm enough to sunbathe and go in the water. Rent a cottage or a condo on the beach, take some friends, and relax!

Fondest memory: Watch the sun set over the water while having drinks and grilling dinner on your porch overlooking the ocean. Stroll on the beach after the sun sets; the sand has the texture of powder. From time to time there's phosphorus in the water that imparts an awesome sparkle to the ocean's waves lapping the shoreline.
