Bicycling is a popular activity in Sun City Center, but many don't realize that we have a conoe rental just a mile or two south of us along the Little Manatee River, south of 674 on Hwy 301. Also along the river is a state park that is good for nature hikes, picnicing, and horse back riding, and the canoe trip ends in the park, where the company that rents them will pick you up for the return trip.

A small family run restaurant that serves up very good Mexican food. Not in Sun City Center, but about two miles east in the town of Wimuama (y-mama).

These creatures give you a false sense of speed. For short distances they can reach up to thirty-five miles per hour. So when near one always keep an eye on him and be ready to move FAST. We haven't been able to let our little Shih-Tzu out in the back yard all day.

Throughout Sun City Center there are ponds and lakes that are inhabited by these creatures, called alligators. They like to sun themselves and look for food. Please don't feed or get to close to them.

On the 5th December 2003, the annual Cristmas Golf Cart Parade was held and a record of 306 decorarted carts were entered.This surpassed last years count by 115 carts.
