The Florida Aquarium is nice. You'll need about a good 3 hours to get through it.
Kids will love it. The aquarium also offers Dolphin tours for an additional charge. You can learn more about it when purchasing your tickets.

The aquarium is also near Channelside drive so you can check that out afterwards. Channelside has a movie theater so if you wanna cool down and relax there ya go!

    Aquarium and downtown

Florida Aquarium hosts a wide range of sea-creatures - everything from seahorses to sharks. Sometimes, they have shows that educate visitors about marine life. Also on display are some magnificient coral reefs.

Admission cost is $18 per adult and $12 for cranky children.

Very large aquarium with many exhibits focusing on the various wetland biospheres found in the state of Florida. Themes include cypress swamp, gulf waters, open sea, and lakes. They also have educational presentations within the various exhibits, and an overnight program for kids.

The Florida Aquarium www.flaquarium.net is a Tampa’s highlight. Beneath seashell-shaped glass dome, a state-of-the-art exhibit areas replicate the state’s different watery environments: mangrove estuary, fresh water, beach, marina… and coral reef – with sharks! Visitors follow a drop of rainwater from Florida's swamps to the open Gulf, meeting all the creatures along the way. For example, Frights of the Forest displays vampires, poison dart frogs, scorpions etc.
