The sunsets were wonderful
Every night we walked along one of the many piers including this one at Casey Key and watched the sunset.
Every single night we saw Pelicans, Dolphins and many other sea birds. It was really lovely. We met people from all over the USA too.
Fondest memory: Sunsets and beautiful beaches, fossilized shark's teeth, friendly people, and sharkeys of course.
We spent a lot of time, wandering along the beautiful clean beaches and sharing the famous pastime of hunting for fossilized shark's teeth. There were hundreds of people with paddles, sifts etc all collecting these shark's teeth. We brought a few home to keep.It was a very relaxing place around the area of Venice and Englewood.Really hope we can return one day.
Fondest memory: Beautiful beaches, great sunsets and lots to do and see around the area. Also in easy reach of Sarasota too.
The waterways are everywhere around Venice. You can hire accommodation complete with boat and mooring. Or just hire a boat and coast up the waterways and see the beautiful wild life and scenery.
Fondest memory: Waterwasy, beaches and sunsets Not forgetting the people.
Favorite thing: Located on the west coast of Florida just south of Tampa, this small community offers relaxing fun in the sun. Venice has three beaches to choose from: Venice Municipal Beach, Caspersan Beach, and Nokomis Beach. Children will enjoy hours of fun collecting shells and pre-historic shark's teeth. After spending some time in the sun, you can enjoy a stroll through Venice's many gift and antique shops.
The walk is always more enjoable with a good friend.
Fondest memory: My fondest memory of hanging in Florida is Nansea. I miss here when I am away.
