This is the marina at Vero Beach, full of beautiful sailboats, yachts. I love marinas, love to look at the beautiful boats and figure out which one I want.

  • Vero Beach access

This seemed to be one of the main beach accesses for Vero Beach. The parking lot was a nice size, but what really struck me was the beautiful park and picnic area set up. It was so clean and had plenty of picnic tables and grills. Perfect to come off the beach grab a bite to eat from the cooler in your car and go sit in the shade and eat.

  • Best Cuban Food in Vero

This restaurant is the best Cuban food ive had. The staff is friendly and very accommodating Prices are very affordable The food is out of this world. Its a small family owned restaurant. Dont let the local fool you or discourage you because it shares a bldg with a gas station but is not part of the gas station. Chef Fernando Pons is an amazing...

  • The best fish & chips in Vero Beach!

Just across the street from one Vero's famous beaches, the tiny Island Cafe serves up home-cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner year-round. You can take out and eat near the ocean, on one of the benches, or use their porch, with adequate seating for small families. The selection is surprisingly large for such a small restaurant, and everything is...

  • great lunch spot

the red onion is a great lunch spot in central vero beach. this small restaurant offers excellent burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads all moderately priced. a good alternative to the higher priced restaurants in central vero beach.

  • on the beach

established in 1941 the ocean grill is a vero beach institution. the restaurant offers a nice view of the beach. the food is american specializing in steaks and seafood. in my opinion the best restaurant in vero beach.

  • Dining by the River

This restaurant would be easy to get to by dinghy from the moorings in the marina. The place is very noisy, and the service is a bit haphazard. They did not tell us the specials (soup of the day was New England clam chowder and they also had prime rib for $18.94) which I might have gotten had I known what they were. I had a spinach salad ($6.50...

  • Fresh Seafood!

This restaurant seems to be a local attraction, it was very busy when we were there in August 2003. We went early and after many many hours and two bottles of red, we were still there enjoying the night! The ambience, wait staff and owners were a pleasure! Made you feel very at home. The hot bread that was served was yummy! The food was very...

  • Good food on the river.

Capt. Hiram's restaurant is in downtown Sebastion. We liked this restaurant so much that the next time we go to Vero Beach we will eat here again. We were seated on a covered patio with an open air view of the boats docked just a few feet away. My wife had the seafood platter and she said it was very good. I had a simple fish and chips and they...

  • What is at the hotel

This is the restaurant in the hotel. It looks very good but we have never gone there to eat. We had some hamburgers as carry-out one night and it was cheaper than at Bleacher's (the pool side food option).

Vero Beach Nightlife

  • Music, Drinks on the Deck and the Sunset

We wanted to eat dinner, but the marina had no restaurant. But the Riverside Cafe was just up under the bridge. I figured that the last run of the bus at 4:45 could take us up there and we'd only have to walk back. But instead of coming to the bus stop, the bus went in back of the marina building and escaped without us being able to get on it. So...

We shopped at the Wal-Mart in Sebastion, FL. It was only 5 miles away. The previous time we went to Vero Beach we drove all the way in to Vero Beach and finally found a place to by groceries but it was about 10 miles away. I would suggest you only buy groceries for two days. There will always be leftovers to eat later. We had spaghetti for dinner...

Vero Beach Warnings and Dangers

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you are on the beach in the early morning or the evening you must use bug spray. There are tiny bugs that bite you and the bites really itch. I would compare the bites to chigger bites. We found a benedryl spray that worked really well to relieve the itching so you might want to take some. My bites didn't show up until we left and I never felt a thing until I started scratching them.

  • Bridges to Vero Beach

There are 2 main bridges to get on to Vero Beach, they are not to far apart as you can see. They take you over the inner coastal ways and the marina. The farthest on in the photo is just above South Beach and the one I'm on will take you to the heart of Vero Beach if you hang a left.

  • Beach access on the Main Drive

This is the beach access near the end of the main strip. Just park on the right side and your at the beach or a short walk to all the shopping and good restaurants.
