Stop by Tom's Cypress on your way through Waldo. Not only will you find great Cypress knees, slabs and other fantastic wooden items, you might like to know that Tom is the owner of the largest collection of Coco Cola Commemorative bottles (over 700,000) in the country. You can see them at Tom's Cypress. Just ask him.

Cyprus "knees" are that funny root that extends off the trunk and out of the water, for lack of better definition. Tom's is easy to find as it's right on Hwy 301 in Waldo, FL. We stopped in and browsed over the large supply of cyprus knees, cyprus wood furniture, cyprus fish carvings, clocks, and so on. The prices are reasonable and the gifts unique. We purchased a couple of beautifully epoxy protected cypress clocks and a pair of twisted cyprus root carvings that looked like fish.
the town of waldo's main source of income is from writing traffic tickets. waldo is one of north florida's best known speed traps. when approaching waldo be aware of the decreasing speed limits.
The Waldo Historical Society conducts fully narrated historic tours of Waldo in their air-conditioned van for groups of 5 or more. This is a 90 minute tour that shows you the Waldo speeders never see. Off the beaten path. You'll see the old cigar factory, flowing well, drive along the Waldo Canal and experience life as it was in the early 1900s.
