It goes without saying--DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!! Take a taxi...though start looking early if you are in Ybor City--they can be hard to come by! Leave a Comment

Be careful of the neighborhoods south of miami. Also be watchful whe you are in little haiti ot little Havana. Alot of poverty and crime. Also I noticed alot of homeless in the Miami area. In tampa there wasnt anything significant to look out for. Leave a Comment

HURRICANES; but mostly they 'only' hit the east coast of Florida and the panhandle, at the west coast you should be safe, or at least safer than in other parts of Florida. Leave a Comment

Although Florida is a fairly safe state, it is still struggling with its reputation for crimes against tourists. While the authorities have been successful in reducing such attacks, the fact remains that visitors who have left their cares and sometimes their common sense at home make an inviting target for opportunistic criminals.
