A lot of areas good for retail therapy...: OK now this is my forté... shopping!

by sunlovey Written Feb 8, 2005

Let's start to the north- PGA Blvd. exit off Interstate 95 head east for about a mile, The Gardens mall will be on your left. It's elegant. Has a nice food court. Great clothing and home decor shops like Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, Bloomingdales, Saks, Macy's, BCBG, Bebe, Express, Crate & Barrel etc.

Okeechobee Blvd. exit to the east about one mile, City Place will be on your left. Outdoor shopping in a cool village-like setting- William Sonoma, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Restoration Hardware, Oilily, etc. plus great restaurants.

Okeechobee Blvd. exit east, pass City Place, cross over Intracoastal waterway bridge into Palm Beach, head straight to A1A along the ocean, take a right on A1A, then about 1/2 a mile later take a right onto Worth Ave. Park along the street chock full of the most high end designers and stores around: Neiman Marcus, Saks, Lacoste, Giorgio Armani, etc.

Forest Hill Blvd. exit, head west to 441, Wellington Green (mall) will be on your left. Newer mall with good food court and restaurants that are reasonably priced. Shops: Nordstrom, 21 Forever, Hollister, Victoria's Secret, William Sonoma, Burdines, Banana Republic, Starbucks, etc.

Atlantic Ave. exit east, go about 2 miles, park along the road for a plethora of cute boutiques with apparel, home decor etc. Be sure to check out The Snappy Turtle for ultra chi chi shopping.

Glades Rd. exit west, about a mile, Towncenter Mall will be on your left. Decent food court and restaurants. Stores: Tifanny's, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Saks, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Victoria's Secret, Express for men and women, etc.

What to buy: High-end apparel, beachy apparel, tropical-inspired home decor.... Loads of Lilly Pulizer!

What to pay: It's up to you.....

City Place: City Place is the spot to shop.

by MatthewMetcalfe Written Dec 28, 2004

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

City Place is a gathering of upscale shops that sell a variety of great items. If you've got money to spend, this place can take care of you! They also have a Starbuck's which are surprisingly hard to find in this area for some reason.

What to buy: If you want nice Jewelry, this is your spot. Guys can check out the model car shop. There's also a store that sells carved jade and old ivory. History buffs or Autograph collectors will enjoy the autograph gallery on the main walkway not far from the fountain.

Stop by Bacio for Authentic Italian Gelato, it's the BEST!

What to pay: I spent about $6.00 on Gelato. You could easily drop $6,000.00 if you aren't careful.
