P.F. Chang's is an upscale Chinese chain restaurant that is very good if in the mood for Asian cuisine. It has the same menu at each of their restaurants with a wide variety to choose from. It is always dependable and has a nice ambience and decor.
Favorite Dish:
For lunch they have reasonably priced "Lunch Bowls" that includes a choice of Pepper Steak, Almond & Cashew Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, Buddha Feast, Moo Goo Gai Pan, or Citrus Soy Salmon. It is served with rice and a cup of Egg Drop or Hot & Sour Soup. This is $7.5-9.5 depending on which of the above you choose.
I orderde the Almond & Cashew Chicken Lunch Bowl and was quite pleased with it. My sister ordered a bowl of Wonton Soup and Crab Wonton appetizer. The Wonton Soup came in a humongous bowl that would have served at least 8 people. We were not informed that it was going to be so big and was silly for just one person, so plan on sharing if you order this.
The Crab Wontons are always delicious and my favorite choice at P.F. Chang's.
Park Plaza Gardens is right in the heart of the lovely downtown part of Winter Park on Park Avenue. It has inside dining or sidewalk dining under umbrellas. It has a lovely ambience and feels very upscale. Service is quick and friendly and offers a wide variety on the menu.

Favorite Dish:
Three of us dined at this restaurant for lunch and here are the opinions of our individual choices:
Smoked Turkey Cobb Salad with Romain lettuce, applewood bacon, tomato, garbonzo beans, bleu cheese, cucumber, egg & ranch dressing for $13: My sister said this was very nice, but not the best Cobb Salad she has ever had.
NY Strip Open-faced Sandwich & fried for $19: My nephew ordered this medium rare, but it was served to him overdone. They nicely took it back and then brought it back VERY rare, but he loved the french fries and it was a large steak.
Traditional Cuban Sandwich (Panini Style) for $10: I ordered this and it was a nice sized sandwich and tasty, but I happen to be very opinionated when it comes to Cuban sandwiches and this was not as good as I've had in true Cuban restaurants. Not bad at all, but if I returned to this restaurant I'd order something else.
houston's is a national chain restaurant located on orlando ave. (US17-92) about a mile west of downtown winter park. good american fare moderately priced. what makes this houston's unique is that it is located on lake killarney and tables at the rear of the restaurant offer a beautiful view of the lake. the restaurant has a boat dock and many residents of lake killarney visit the restaurant by boat. houston's has a lively bar and is a popular after work meeting place.
located at the intersection of orlando ave. (US17-92) and lee road is fleming's steakhouse and wine bar. this upscale steakhouse is known for it's steaks and seafood. good food and service. fleming's is one of three good steakhouses in winter park. reservations recommended.
ruth's chris steakhouse is located in the winter park village shopping center west of downtown winter park. ruth's chris is a national chain and their food quality and service is very consistant. in my opinion not the best steakhouse in the orlando area but still a very good choice when in the winter park. reservations recommended.
p.f. changs is a very good chinese restaurant located in the winter park village shopping center west of downtown winter park. very good chinese food moderately priced. p.f. changs is a national restaurant chain and i have visited several of them around the country. i have found the food and service consistant. i don't usually write tips on chain restaurants but p.f. changs is above average.
giovanni's italian restaurant & pizzeria is a very good moderately priced italian eatery in winter park. they import their pasta from italy and the pizza dough and sauces are made on premises. because giovanni's is family owned the food and service is excellent. good food, good service, good value. they have five locations in the orlando area. located in the winter park corner shopping center. intersection of aloma ave. and lakemont ave.
the park plaza gardens is one of the best restaurants in the orlando area. there is a bar and outdoor cafe facing the street and the dinning room is in the back. i would recommend this restaurant to visitors to winter park. reservations recommended.
