Ole Times Buffet has a wide variety of good Southern food. And it is all you can eat. The Fried Chicken was good. Lots of good veggies. Lots of good deserts. Appeared to be very popular as it was crowded. Great place to go when you are REALLY hungry.
This place is located in a strip mall and has Japaanese Fast Food. It has Chicken Teriyaki, various rice bowls and other dishes. Decor in minimal and service was acceptable but not great.
Favorite Dish: The Terayaki Rice Bowl was average.
I offered to buy my sister lunch and we decided on Chinese. She brought me here. Great Choice. The decor is nice, the owner very friendly and the food was great.
Favorite Dish: Black Bean Fish. Good for you and tasted great!
I do not have nearly as extensive experience dining in Albany as my fellow VTer Spartan (see his Albany Page); but I agree that Blackbeard's is an excellent restaurant. The portions were huge and the price made it a very good deal. Eight of us had dinner there and we were all very pleased. Our waitress was efficient and attentive. If I need to eat out in Albany again (my sister lives there and she is an excellent cook) I will probably choose Blackbeard's. Came here again on my next visit. still outstanding!!
Favorite Dish: I had the Captain's Platter which was a huge selection of various types of seafood all very well prepared.
the riverfront bar-b-q is a very good bar-b-cue restaurant located in downtown albany. very good georgia style beef, chicken, and pork bar-b-cue. the riverfront bar-b-q is worth a stop when in downtown albany.
I was out running some errands and decided to stop for lunch. There was a Hooters across the street. For anyone who is not acquainted with Hooters it is known for good food and attractive young waitresses in Tank Tops that say Hooters and bright orange short shorts. This was a typical Hooters with wood interior, beer signs, and the cute waitresses. I had a bowl of their Manhattan Clam Chowder which was typically great. I also love their Chili and their Chicken Wings. My waitress was extremely pretty.
Favorite Dish: The Manhattan Clam Chowder is well spiced and tastes great!
Yes. this may be a chain restaurant but the service and food is excellent, regardless of the location.
Favorite Dish: You can't go wrong if you select the Rockhampton Rib-Eye (a 14-ounce Rib-Eye steak) or the Ayers Rock Strip (a 14-ounce New York Strip) which both come with bread/butter, salad, and your choice of rice, baked potato or veggies.
Nice restaurant in an out of the way location serving great food at excellent prices.
Favorite Dish: Try the Chicken Wings (with either mild, medium, hot or "Mule/kick yo butt hot") or the Fried Chicken Fingers Platter that comes with macaroni and cheese, green beans and potatoes, corn bread and rolls.
This seems to be a popular hangout where locals and visitors congregate. Good food, happy customers and a lively atmosphere make this a place to visit.
Favorite Dish: Take your pick of one of the following entrees...Seasoned Boiled Shrimp (with dipping butter), baked potato, cole slaw and hush puppies, or Fried Alligator (with hush puppies, cole slaw and a baked potato...you can also choose onion rings, french fries or cheese grits). Wash it down with an ice cold Bass Ale. Oh and by the way, gator meat actually taste like a combination of pork and chicken.
Serves breakfast and lunch
Favorite Dish: Try one of the following: Grilled Chicken Breast with provolone cheese, sauteed mushrooms and onions on French Bread and fries; the Bistro Burger (100% Angus Beef) with sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, fries and sweet tea; the Salad Sampler (tuna salad, chicken salad and egg on a bed of greens with tomatoes).

If you're hungry for a great southern cooked meal, step through the doors of the nearest Barnhill's Buffet for a truly unforgettable experience.
Favorite Dish: There are so many things to try that your head will just spin because of all the possibilities. I tried the huge salad bar, fried chicken, dressing (or stuffing if you like), cornbread and fried catfish. Then finished it off with homemade cookies.
Nothing fancy but real authentic Mexican food.
Favorite Dish: You start off with a basket of tortilla chips and salsa. For the meal, try the Carne Asada Platter (tender grilled beef with beans, rice , guacamole salad and flour tortillas). Oh and for the drink, try the medium size Margarita!!!
Excellent family run bar-b-que joint serving up great food with specials daily.
Favorite Dish: Try the Pork plate with texas toast, beans, french fries and sweet tea.
Nothing fancy about the place, just good food and lots of choices.
