Visit Buckhead! It has many many bars of all types under the sun. It's a really fun place if you can find a place to park!
Every kind of bar imaginable. Home of the infamous Rob Lowe video and countless court cases involving sports figures! If celebrities can get in trouble here you know the common man can have some fun.

Dress Code: Usually your somewhat dressy club clothes are the norm. I'm sure that tank tops and flip flops are discouraged.

Ladies 80s on Thursdays. Lame (top 40) 80s music but good list:
'Television Shows We Wish We'd Seen in the 80s:'
    1) Lifestyles of the Rich and Androgynous (hosted by Boy George and Grace Jones)
    2) Three's Company; Four's An Orgy
    3) The Price Is Wrong And Grossly Inflated
    4) Eight Is Way More Than Enough
    5) Doogie Howser, S.O.B.
I particularly wish I'd seen #2 with Suzanne Somers in the nude.

If you want to go out and have the opportunity to check out a bunch of different places - go to Buckhead! There are over 100 bars in 2-3 block area.
My favorites were Lulu's Bait Shack (order a fish bowl) and Fado's, an Irish Pub.

Dress Code: There are all types of different bars and clubs. This is an upscale area and pretty trendy - casual is fine, but dress to impress!

Great atmosphere and traditional irish music. We all came here after my brother won the silver medal for swimming in the paralympic games. The staff were so nice, they even gave us a free bar for the night!

The Three Dollar Café in Buckhead
Not that different from a lot of big bars, big screen TV's and paper towel dispensers on the tables. It has a dozen of fridge doors containing beers from around the world. You sit at one end of the bar and you make your way to the other end while sampling different beers.
They did have a few I never drank before.

    Dress Code: none

Different bar and club styles ranging from raves to fancy dress-up bars where the bouncer has discretion on whether or not you are dressed up enough. Don't mess with the bouncer, He's usually about 6'7', 265, pure muscle.

Dress Code: find a bar that seems to suit you best, they're all there.

    Buckhead: So many bars

This is the most popular nightlife venue in Atlanta. Hundreds of bars & restaurants within walking distance. Warning: gets kind of like a drunken frenzy at times.

    Bars open until 2:30am.
