If your looking for a place to hangout and enjoy music. The Underground Atlanta has place called Kenny's Alley that offers 7 nightclubs.

Effective July 4, 2008, there will be a $2.00 entry fee into Kenny's Alley on Friday & Saturday nights beginning promptly at 9:00 pm.

If you leave the Alley for any reason, a $2.00 re-entry fee will apply.

Note: This area might be a little questionable as far as safety. So please keep this in mind if you decide to venture to the downtown area!

Downtown Atlanta: The Westin Hotel for rotating cocktails!

I am not really sure where to put this tip, so here will have to do for now!

The Westin Hotel is a large luxurious hotel in the center of the Downtown area. We didn't stay there as it was out of our price bracket, however I did read somewhere that it has an observation platform and a rotation bar.

This sounded great to us - and low and behold it was!

I would warn that it would cost something like $5 to just go up the lift - or a minimum spend of $10 once you are up there.

Of course we went for the minimum spend and had two very good Martini's! Plus we and took in the view of Downtown and beyond during sunset.

Great view around the city and quite fun.

Just a thought - it did seen like they were quite lacks about people going up in the lift and just not paying or checking if they had drinks on exit. Also it's possible to take an alternate lift down which avoid the payment area. Not sure you'd get away with it.... but worth a thought!!! :-)
